Stunning country house boasting traditional architectural features (wooden beamed ceilings and tiled bathrooms) and sweeping views of the Alentejo countryside. We arrived to find several bottles of wine and overflowing bowls of fresh-picked oranges and lemons waiting for us, along with enough firewood to keep the fireplace going on chilly late-winter nights. Just a few more staples in the kitchen (olive oil, vinegar, sugar) and amenities in the bathroom (shampoo) would have made our stay perfect. Margarida was a supremely gracious host. It was truly a privilege to spend these few days on her estate!
