Loved our stay! Our group was there for a girls weekend. The open floor plan on the main floor made it easy to gather throughout the day as a group of 12. We took advantage of the easy access to the beach and enjoyed sitting around bonfire by the water. The host was responsive when needed and minimal work was required for us at checkout which was very much appreciated. A few more cups and mugs in the kitchen would have made it perfect! We hope to be back soon!
Even during the winter, this property is jaw-droppingly beautiful. Nikki was an excellent host and communicated with us extremely quickly as needed. Would definitely stay here again!
The property is absolutely beautiful all around! There were 12 of us girls staying there for a bachelorette party, and we couldn't have asked for a better place. It's very spacious which allowed for us to spread out, as well as multiple people being in the kitchen/dining area all at once. The bedrooms were cozy, with thick plush carpet that felt like you were walking on a cloud. And the beach... spectacular!!
The pictures r right on. Just bring your food & clothes and u r good to go. Its so peaceful u honestly havent felt such peace by sitting on the deck in your rocking chair & coffee looking at the view and feeling gods grace.
My family enjoyed our stay at the Cedar Lodge. The lake front was great. Driving distance to other places was great. Only concern we had is the electrical outlets. We could not plug anything in to the outlets and it stayed plugged in. I would still recommend this place to stay.
we had a wedding and stayed using the loft and main house for the entire wedding party. What a awesome experience and a beautiful home and location. Thanks so much for everything!
Very nice property! The location is central to many attractions, and the Lodge is awesome. It is right off US2, so no issues with plowed roads. The drive meanders through the woods so that when you are at the Lodge, you feel very secluded and private. The view is incredible! We were about an hour from Kitch-iti-kipi, Tahquamenon Falls, and Munising/Pictured Rocks, and a half hour from St. Ignace, where you can get anything you need. We were a total of 11 and were very comfortable.
We rented this house for a family get together, 7 total adults and 2 kids. It was even more spacious and beautiful than we thought! There was so much room, incredible views, and it was the perfect place to stay! It was very clean, very well organized, and very cozy. We are already talking about when we will be coming back! We had such a wonderful time and can’t thank the hosts enough for such a great trip! :)
My family (ages 8-73) thoroughly our stay at the Cedar Lodge. We visited Mackinac Island, Tahquamenon Falls and the MI Dog Sled site. Our favorite day was spent on the beach at the rental. The four granddaughters had a blast in the water and especially building a series of canals and castles on the beach. On that day, we also visited with my 91-year-old mother-in-law and other family members who live in the area. The large kitchen was fantastic but the AGA stove took some getting used to. The beds were comfortable and we stayed so busy that the television was never even turned on! Nikki was easy to communicate with. We really had a great family vacation, with persons coming from MN, WA and IL. Thanks much!
We rented both the Cedar Lodge and Loft for our family reunion. We had 9 people so sleeping would have been difficult without the Loft addition. Beach access is excellent and easy to walk to which was great for my 80 year old mother. Large patio for gatherings a plus. Nice large tables in the main area for playing games and eating as a family. The stove/oven is very different and stays on all the time so is warm/hot...not great for young children. Would need to be careful. Beds were comfy but the master and loft in the lodge are open to the main floor so sound carries easily. Frig was nice and large and newer, although water dispenser was very very slow for water bottles. Host was wonderful on communication and answering questions. Very attentive. A fantastic experience and would recommend for future visits.
Had a broken toilet and was unable to contact the property manager. Link in the email did not work and there was nothing at the house. Left a note on the table but they never called.
What another incredible stay and experience at the Cedar Lodge. This was our second time here (last in 2021) and I didn't think there was any way that it could have been better than that first visit. But, wow, what an AMAZING time we had once again, all made possible by Nikki's impeccable attention to detail in making the house feel welcoming and ever so comfortable. The upgrades are fantastic and as with the past trip, everything in the house was well stocked, exceptionally clean, again, welcoming. he weather was awesome and we were able to enjoy the lake pretty much every day. It made it hard to do other exploring, but we managed to squeeze in another trip to the Shipwreck Museum, Pictured Rocks, Mackinac Island, and some parasailing from Mackinaw City :).
Nikki is phenomenal with communication, both before and during our stay. If I could give 10 stars, I would :). We hope to be back again next year and know we won't be disappointed. Thanks so much again Nikki for sharing your beautiful home with us!! All the best, the Moore family.
We had a nice and relaxing stay at Cedar Lodge! Even when the weather wasn't cooperating, we were still able to watch wildlife from the comfort of the lodge.
Cedar Lodge was absolutely beautiful and furnished with everything we could need or want.
Each window had a fabulous view of Lake Michigan.
Our time there flew by way too quickly.
Worth every penny we paid to stay here.
This place is just amazing! I can’t put our satisfaction into words. This was our first experience there but definitely not the last one. Everyone should try this place at least once!
We wish the owners all the happiness and love.
We truly enjoyed our stay. This property met all of our needs especially the well equipped kitchen. It's amazing to stay at a short-term rental property that have sharp knives. It made cooking every day enjoyable. Nikki was very responsive and is a wonderful host. Highly recommend staying here and plan on booking it again for our next family vacation.

About the host

Born and raised in West Michigan, it's hard to not appreciate Michigan's beautiful beaches, lakes, and forests. Naturally, much of my free time was spent at the beach on Lake Michigan. So it's no surprise that it was a childhood dream of mine to own a home on the Lake. And after saving and extensively researching for years, I finally took the leap with the Cedar Lodge and Cedar Loft! While my family and I truly love spending time here when we get a chance (and when we're not working to maintain or improve it for our guests :) ), the most gratifying experience for me is providing unforgettable experiences and memories for others. So thank you for giving us the opportunity to accommodate you and your family!
