Santa Caterina sits high on a hill behind tall cypresses and umbrella pines, with breathtaking views in every direction. Rolling hills dotted with farmlands, vineyards and olive groves on one side, and rugged mountains topped by a 12th century castle on the other. Built in the early 18th century and totally restored in 1996, Santa Caterina is centrally located amongst some of Italy's most historic and picturesque towns.
During the restoration every effort was made to preserve the original character, using old authentic materials whenever and wherever possible. The bright and spacious interiors are decorated in a typical Umbrian/Tuscan style, with high wood beams ceilings, terracotta floors, kilim rugs and many antique furnishings.
