Great week in Nisswa with immediate and extended family. Very convenient location near the boat club, Zorba’s and my sister’s cabin on Gull Lake. I highly recommend staying here!
We had a fantastic stay at this property! Lots of space with a lovely deck. The kitchen is top notch and we even had a hot tub to enjoy. We grilled out, did puzzles and of course enjoyed the lake.

Thank you for your review, Jane! I’m so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay!
Had a wonderful time. The cabin was beautiful, and was very secluded and quiet. Great lake to boat on. The hill was steep to get to the lake, but that was the only drawback. Would be nice if there was a trolly lift to get to the dock. Owner was very helpful on giving tips about the area, and was very quick to respond. Would definitely stay here again.
Right from the start of the booking and all the way through checking out, Elizabeth was responsive, friendly, and great to work with.
With 7 people staying, there was more than enough room. The house/cabin is beautiful, well maintained inside and out, and has anything you need.
We really liked how private and quiet it was as we spent a good amount of time out on the patio.
We had an awesome time at this vrbo lake home. The house is very clean and comfortable. All the basics are provided including soap, shampoo and conditioner in each bathroom. There were plenty of towels including beach towels for guest use. Everything worked as it should. The gas grill and fire table both had plenty of propane. The hot tub was clean and ready to use. There was firewood provided as well. Guest instructions were very clear and helpful. Any questions we had were answered quickly and fully! We would definitely stay there again!

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and that everything met your needs. Thank you for your review. We'd love to have you back anytime!
We loved our stay!!! From picking wild raspberries, to fires around the pit, relaxing in the hot tub, playing on the lily pad with the kids, paddle boarding, family dinners, watching a good movie with pop corn, and sweet dreams in extremely comfortable beds.
We rented a pontoon just minutes from where we were staying. A great restaurant (Zorba's) afterwards, and getting last minute needs at the grocery story/liquor store just three minutes away.
The only tricky part was the long curvy walk down to the lake. It was very long and steep. Not very friendly for elderly people, or handicapped people. My 86 year old mother did a great job going down and climbing back up three times. My husband had back surgery two months ago, and walks with a walker. He was not able to join us on the dock.
Our communication with the owner was wonderful. Elizabeth answered all of questions very promptly.
We highly recommend this vrbo stay.

Thank you for the review, Angie! I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay. I’m sorry your husband wasn’t able to get down the path to the lake; it is a climb even for the most able-bodied. Your 86-year-old mom must be in great shape! I’ll add a note in the property description about the elevation so future renters are aware.
Thanks so much for staying. You were fantastic to work with!
About the host
Hosted by Elizabeth Grossman
Mike and Elizabeth Grossman live in Plymouth, MN with our three children. We purchased this property in 2019 as our family cabin and have made so many special memories there year-round. Our kids have come to an age that their sports and activities have kept us from spending as much time as we would like "up north," so we are renting it a handful of weeks each summer. This is truly our "Happy Place" and our hope is that your family will love it there as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
The best and most unique (especially on the Gull chain) quality of the cabin is the privacy. Either sipping coffee or tipping back some beers with friends, the deck is by far the place we spend the most time. Sitting under the umbrella of trees, taking in the sounds of nature and the beauty of the lake, it feels like a secluded escape.
Down at the lake, the kids love to play on the Lily Pad or jump off the swim dock. They spend countless hours reeling in fish right off the dock or paddling around the bay on the stand-up paddle board.
We also love that all the excitement of the Brainerd Lakes area is just minutes away. We can hop in the boat and head to Nisswa for dinner, ice cream and shopping, run down to Zorbaz for pizza and volleyball, or to Lost Lake Lodge or Bar Harbor for fine dining and craft cocktails.
Our cabin has all the amenities of home - comfy beds, TVs, Wi-Fi, newly remodeled, fully stocked kitchen and on-site laundry - with a cozy, rustic feel. Whether you are looking for a relaxing getaway or a fun-filled adventure, there really is something for everyone to enjoy.
