At an elevation of 800 metres, nestled in the heart of the Vosges countryside, 15 km from Gérardmer, this unique tiny house—called La Ty Vosg'Breizh—welcomes you to a quiet and peaceful setting. The area is perfect for a wide range of activities in both summer and winter (hiking, biking, swimming in various lakes, fishing, downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, etc.).
If the name of our tiny house catches your attention, it’s because I live in Brittany and I’m originally from Gérardmer 😉
The Tiny measures 20 square metres and features a space-efficient layout:
- a loft bedroom with a 140 x 190 bed (2 adults)
- a cosy living area that can be converted into an extra sleeping space (1 adult or 2 children), equipped with storage chests and closets.
- a storage area located under the living area.
- a wood-burning stove (wood, fire starter, and lighter provided).
- A fully equipped kitchen with small appliances and dishes.
- Coffee, tea, herbal tea, coffee filters, paper towels, salt, pepper, oil, and vinegar are available upon your arrival.
- A bathroom with a sink, a shower, and a dry toilet (with a separate compartment for urine).
- Hand soap, towels, tea towels, and bed linens are provided (washed but not ironed), as well as toilet paper.
- Drinking water.
- Pets allowed.
- The Tiny is brand new, and the outdoor area isn’t quite finished yet, but you’ll be able to enjoy a patio with a table and 4 chairs, a grill, lounge chairs, and a parasol.
- I thought it was important to add a few Breton and Vosges touches to the Tiny, along with everything you need for a pleasant stay.
Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 12:00 PM.
A key box is available, and parking is accessible near the Tiny.
I’ll be easy to reach during your stay, and if any issues arise, someone can come by if needed.
We’ve provided some brochures to help you explore the region and enjoy a variety of activities.
You can enjoy a meal at La Maison d’Annie, located 50 metres from the Tiny.
Across from the Tiny, there’s just a field where you might occasionally see cows and deer.
Living in a completely self-sufficient Tiny will require you to be eco-conscious.
You’ll need to pay a little more attention to your electricity usage than you would in a traditional house.
Remember to sort your trash (recycling bins are located 2 km from the Tiny).
Regarding the two-compartment dry toilet, you’ll be asked to empty the (compostable) bag containing the waste into the compost bin located outside next to the wood bin.
I hope you have a pleasant stay in this unique and unusual place.
