About the host
Hosted by Amber Walker

We are a family of 3 with roots in Austin, Connecticut, and New Mexico. We have 2 beloved fur babies who love this home in the mountains and all the lovely *friends* who come visit (elk, wild horses, hummingbirds, ravens, and deer). We love to travel and experience new places through the eyes of a local by renting through VRBO.
My father was born and raised in Ruidoso so I've been coming here my whole life. It's really blossomed into a wonderful town that has so much of what we love---small local businesses with the best crafts, activities, food, beer, and wine you can find anywhere. All while keeping the wild nature that makes this oasis so spectacular.
