Snow Apocalypse 2020

Enjoyed our stay and everything was perfect. A lot of the area was out of power but thankfully our power stayed on and we were all happy during the 36 hour snow in. Would stay there again in a heart beat!

Great location, great accommodation, great everything!! Kids had fun, parents had fun and it was so nice to be able to do laundry and still be with family. Would suggest bringing beach towels for the hit tub. Otherwise you are doing laundry to keep up with the hot tub and shower usage. This was with the 3 kids using the hot tub at least once a day and a daily shower.

Spring Break Getaway

The location couldn't have been better, only a short distance from the main strip, but still up in the hills on the end of a dead end street. The four bedrooms and three bathrooms was the biggest plus. The kids really enjoyed the hot tub and the video game console!

Lovely stay

We had a great time at Greenbrier. We were a family of 7 adults and found everything very convenient and clean at the home. Everyone loved having a grill available to use and the arcade game was a big hit as well. The home was 5-10 minutes from the main strip in Pigeon Forge and there's a Kroger very nearby. Thanks for a great trip!

Superb Stay!

We had an amazing stay. Kitchen was well equipped. Breakfast was our only cook in meal but every appliance and Utensil I needed was right there. Very spacious house. Our teens were able to escape us in the evening after a long day of being tourist. My two youngest and I very much enjoyed our evening hot tub time. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. ❤️

Great place for family

Great for our family of six. Plenty of beds for everyone. Close to all the attractions of Pigeon Forge but also up and away enough to not be right in the middle of all the busyness. Only thing I would mention is come prepared or go to the store to get items like hand soap for the bathroom, dishrags and dish towels, salt and pepper, etc. Just minor things like that that would’ve been nice to have.

Very convenient to grocery stores and attractions in Pigeon Forge and yet felt private area in woods

Very convenient to grocery stores and attractions in Pigeon Forge and yet you felt like you were away from everything within a very private area. Cell phone reception at area was great (Verizon). The provided wifi internet worked great. Plenty of parking on a level area, which made it easy to turn cars around. The driveway was steep, for those that are worried about snow. My stay was above freezing so no worries for me. Nice clean cabin.

Peaceful retreat

My three best friends and I have been scattered across the world due to our jobs and really wanted some place quiet to catch up for New Years Eve (we all originally met in New Orleans and while it's an amazing city, way too loud around holidays). We absolutely LOVED staying at Greenbriar. It was quiet and clean when we arrived. The porch was perfect to hang out on or chill in the hot tub. The tv was easy to hook up our gaming devices. We loved it. The only issue we had with the place was we enjoy cooking and there was only one small nonstick pan (there were plenty of pans, my pancakes and bacon just stuck to the other ones) so we had to make everything in small amounts. Which is fine, they just need to be updated or bring your own if you like to cook and have a large crowd. Overall our hosts were easy to contact and extremely hospitable. We would definitely recommend their properties to others in the future.

Very nice stay

This was a great house. Everything is as is listed. Good and clean and plenty of furniture for everyone. The video game was a hit. 3 minor things that could have been a bit better. 1. I wish there would have been cable TV for network television. However, there is a smart TV and Roku. 2. One of the beds sort of leaned to the center, however there were plenty more beds to choose from. 3. The kitchen could use a bit more furnishing. For example I couldn’t find any cereal bowls. Again, these are minor, but good to know about. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked very nice. The hot tub was a nice addition as well. The location was great, and although in a neighborhood, it is pretty secluded and very quiet. I would definitely stay here again. The host was fantastic. Thanks for a great stay.

Very convenient to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg

Good place. Clean. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms for a family of 5. Very quiet. Felt safe. Kids looooved the arcade game. Only complaint was the lack of hand soap at each sink. But, I don't blame the owners. I've stayed in enough VRBO's to know to bring my own small hand soap containers, in case the cleaning crew chintzes on the hand soap. You could tell this crew had just watered down the half inch of liquid soap in each bottle. That's too bad. But, I know it's hard to find good house cleaners. Kudos to the owners for providing tons of toilet paper and kleenex for each bedroom and bathroom. We never ran out! Lots of towels were great too! The pillows could use some upgrading. But, otherwise, a nice warm retreat in the winter. We were blessed with snow flurries the morning of our departure.

Great value close to the parkway in Pigeon Forge

We needed a base of operation as 6 adults prepared for a wedding later in the week in Pigeon Forge. This cabin was exactly as advertised and allowed us easy access to everything we needed to get to in Pigeon Forge. Communication with the owner was quick through email and actually some of the most responsive I have had from a VRBO owner. There were starter supplies of toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent, and shampoo/soap. We did not find other things we often find in vacation rentals (salt/pepper, Pam, aluminum foil, etc...seems these things are being cleaned out after each stay vs being left for the next guest). We appreciated the late checkout allowed by the owner since no one was checking in the next day. We also enjoyed being at the end of a dead end road which helped make it a very quiet place to stay. The listing and photos are very accurate, so pay attention to the fact that the common spaces (kitchen, dining, living rooms) are sort of small compared to the # of people this cabin sleeps. Overall, this was a very good value for the money and much cheaper than renting 3 rooms at a hotel AND more space than many of the condos in a similar price range.

Lots of room

Overall this is a very nice property. Beds were very comfortable lots of hot water for the showers. There are a few things to beware of. There are lots of stairs. There’s a set of stairs leading into the house. There was one bedroom on the first floor which is the master and then another set of stairs leading to all the other bedrooms. If you’re planning on cooking or making coffee make sure and bring everything that you need such as salt, pepper, oil, sugar, and cream, everything there is nothing in the kitchen but dishes. The dining room area is very nice the kitchen is nice however the living room the sofas need to be replaced. You sit on them and they sag down not very comfortable. I loved the hot tub and the arcade games. I had so much fun playing Pac-Man with my six-year-old grandson. The deck is tight with the hot tub and a table and chairs. But I love the hot tub and I’m not sure what else they could do with the size deck that’s out there. With all of this being said if the living room furniture was replaced I would definitely book this house again. It is very clean and in a great location.

Perfect location

This is an older, but cared for, two story home in a neighborhood of many rentals. The setting is in trees and at the bottom of a steep hill so that it feels secluded even though you can see other rentals nearby. We found it to be quiet and peaceful . The driveway is a bit steep but not bad to these flat land ladies who are nervous driving in the mountains. Even the main roads were not scary--And they are spectacularly beautiful. The rental was very clean and nicely furnished. Chairs, little tables, a grill and hot tub lined the balcony. I loved sitting out there! The swimming pool is located right at the top of the driveway so you can easily walk up. The washer dryer was a blessing to this family who had just spent a week in Nashville hotels with babies. The machines worked well as did all of the appliances.. The kitchen is properly stocked with utensils for cooking which we did every night. There were not many pantry supplies on hand but we purchased and left a few behind for the next traveler. There were plenty of towels, washcloths and the type of bathroom toiletries that are attached to the shower in pump bottles. A hair dryer and iron are in the downstairs bathroom. The twin bedroom upstairs leads to a balcony, so we did not put a small child there as we had planned. Also, there is nothing on those windows to block the light. All three other bedrooms had shades. The entry steps needed a few nails pounded down and will soon need new treads. Otherwise everything seemed in good repair. It's not fancy but very homey and comfy. The location is just a few blocks off the main highway leading into Pigeon Forge. An overpriced Krogers is about 5 minutes away and easy to get to. If you drive a little further onto the parkway, you will find a Publix, (and a Walgreens that is cheaper for basic things like milk and water.) All the abundant entertainment amenities and eating places are located very close to this rental while you still feel secluded in the woods A short drive took us down to the magnificent National Park. I found these rental owners to be very responsive to emails and lovely to deal with. While I will never rent from VRBO again because of their outrageous additional charges, the basic cost of this rental as posted by the owner was appropriate for all that you get.. We would absolutely rent this home again if in the area. We really enjoyed this comfy home and wish we could have stayed much longer.
