Ocean Cottage 56 Beautiful oceanfront cottage with gorgeous views!

This two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath custom oceanfront townhome has everything you and your guest will need during your stay. On the first level, you will find a well-equipped kitchen with Keurig Coffee Maker, stainless appliances, a gas range, with a built-in microwave and oven. The dining area has a table that will seat six and there is a eating bar for two. In the living area, you will find a 65-inch flatscreen, a large couch, and two swivel chairs. Off of the living area, there is a screened-in porch that overlooks the Atlantic. Also located on the porch is a screen door for easy access to a short path that leads to the beach. The first of two master suites is located on this floor. This bedroom has a queen bed and a full bath with a walk-in shower. There is also a half bath just off of the kitchen.
Follow the stairs up to the second level where you will find another living area situated with a large flatscreen TV couch that turns into a queen bed and two large chairs that convert into twin beds. Off of the living area, you will find the second of two porches. Enjoy the ocean breezes from this open porch. Perfect for morning coffee, reading, evening cocktails or just relaxing and taking in the amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean. You will find the second master suite off of the living area that is situated with a king bed. The window to the right of the bed looks right out over the Atlantic Ocean. The large full bath is situated with a walk-in shower. Also on this floor, you will find the laundry room complete with a frontload washer and dryer.
In addition, guests have access by key fob to The Cottages' million-dollar amenities, which include an oceanfront zero-entry pool, beach deck, clubhouse with fitness center and billiards table, community fire pit, and beach access.

BEACH ACCESS AT THE COTTAGES
Overview: The Cottages beach is about 2,000 feet long, featuring a dune area and seawall.
Access Points: There are three dune crossovers to the sandy area, always accessible for recreation. Main access is near the pool and clubhouse.
Tide Information: At high tide, water reaches the seawall, changing every six hours. Check a tide chart to plan your beach time.
Nearby Facilities: Oceanview Beach Park, about 2 miles south past the Holiday Inn, offers all-day ocean access. Explore all Jekyll Island beaches on their website.
Important Note: Storms may affect beach crossover access, and we cannot guarantee beach access at all times.

Short get-away

This is a beautifully decorated cottage! The pool area was very nice -not too crowded, pool was refreshing. The only negative comment I would make is that access to the beach is not outside your door, although the walk is extremely doable. But the beach is VERY small and the sand is wet. If you are looking for a white, sandy beach this is not the place.

Good, but could have been better

The house was really nice and comfortable. When we got there, the kitchen garbage was half full. Also, everyday every couple hours, there was a loud banging noise that was loud enough to scare everyone. We could never figure out what it was. I emailed awhile back about it and never heard back from anyone. I wanted to let you know about the noise, so you can figure out what is causing it before your next guests rent the place. Thanks.

Very nice property , tasteful decor, nice location perfect for two couples.

Only issues kitchen not supplied well, no cocktail glasses and pretty limited cooking utensils. Also there’s some type of insect droppings under stove in drawer. Personally I believe a dishwasher pod for each day would of been nice. Lastly might clarify the coffeemaker is a keurig.

Beautiful Place But Good for One Visit

Pros: The cottage itself was beautiful! The views are great. Loved the decor. Very accommodating for four adults. Kitchen had all the necessities but we weren't staying long enough to cook meals there. Pool was nice. Felt safe in the area. Cons: Upstairs bedroom didn't have a closet which isn't a big deal but would have been nice. The rock barrier from the pictures to what was there when we arrived is very different. And the path next to the cottage was overgrown and unkept & there was no staircase to use by our end, we had to walk to the pool/clubhouse to use those stairs to walk the beach. Didn't need to reach out for any assistance but received several redundant emails regarding policies and rules to follow (which we have no issue doing in the first place.) Also there was conflicting information given in regards on where to leave the fobs for the pool/clubhouse, two emails said to leave on the kitchen island, then one said in a binder so they don't get lost during cleaning. Reduce the amount of emails & make sure the information is the same across the board.

Summer vacation

Thought we were staying on the beach with beach access. The beach is covered with big black rocks so you have to drive to a beach. First disappointment. Second disappointment was we rented this unit because of being next to beach access which there was none unless you call getting to the sand as the beach but no water access. We also rented because upstairs had three pullout beds for our grandchildren only had fitted twin sheets no flat sheets and no sheets for queen pullout. Called and had maid services to bring flat sheets and pillows. They brought 6 more twin fitted sheets and one pillow that had pee stains all over it. She FaceTimed mgmt while she was in our room saying she did not see where we needed anything. So all the nights there no sheets for sofa, no pillows and no blankets had to sleep with twin fitted sheets as a cover which was not comfortable at all. And had to use decorative throw pillows as regular pillows which smelled used. If you are planning on cooking while there bring items because they are very limited on what they have to use. We payed a lot of money to stay here and we will definitely not stay in this unit again. It was decorated beautifully but the rest of the dissatisfaction out weighed that. Oh and definitely bring paper products one bathroom had no toilet paper and the others had half rolls there were no fresh rolls in the unit. The only full roll of something was a paper towel roll in kitchen.
