This peaceful accommodation offers an ideal setting for a family getaway or for two couples of friends or parents with two children. It has two bedrooms with double beds, with the possibility of adding a baby cot if it is not too large. In addition, a third bedroom is equipped with two bunk beds, making it perfect for two children up to 17 years old.
Please note that this accommodation is not suitable for people with reduced mobility due to a staircase
The accommodation
On the third floor, you will discover a 60 m2 duplex apartment of type T4 bis, offering two magnificent unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains that frame this charming medieval village. The apartment is located in a small building, rising about ten metres above the ground, in the heart of the village, in the immediate vicinity of a small square and a fountain.
Please note that due to the typical medieval character of the village, access can be very difficult, if not impossible, for people with reduced mobility.
In this building, each floor houses a single accommodation, which guarantees a calm and serene environment. After passing through the central door of the building, you will immediately access the apartment via a period staircase.
At the entrance of the apartment, a small space is dedicated to the deposit of shoes. Inside the apartment, you will discover an entrance hall with a short central hallway, wide stairs to the left leading to the fourth floor, a toilet, three bedrooms, as well as a bright and well-equipped bathroom with a bathtub and a sink with a mirror. Closets also provide practical storage space.
Each of the bedrooms has a high and spacious window, letting in natural light, and a double bed that can accommodate two people (two bedrooms are equipped with double beds and the third with bunk beds).
A short internal staircase, wide and bright, leads you to a warm living room where you will find a comfortable sofa facing a TV area, located near a stove that warms the room pleasantly in winter. The kitchen, fully equipped (as shown in the photos), includes a washing machine, a large table with chairs, a fridge, a microwave, a raclette machine, crockery, cutlery, cupboards, kitchen utensils, and a storeroom, but please note that there is no dishwasher.
This entire apartment offers you a comfortable and picturesque setting for your stay, in the heart of this charming medieval village.
Traveller access
Bedrooms will be made available according to the number of travellers. Apart from these areas, the entire accommodation is accessible.
Other remarks
Free Wi-Fi access can be enjoyed in the immediate vicinity of the accommodation.
The location is also very convenient, close to amenities such as restaurants and food shops. In addition, it is only a few minutes' drive from a well-known ski resort and offers incredible opportunities for hiking and cycling during the summer season, especially around the beautiful natural lake of Allos, in the heart of a national park.
It is important to note that Colmars-les-Alpes is a medieval city surrounded by picturesque ramparts. This stunning mountain village has fortifications and ramparts dating back to the 17th century, and the wooded landscapes that surround it are both beautiful and often sunny. The area is located a stone's throw from the Mercantour National Park and the Verdon Regional Park, which irresistibly invites you to enjoy beautiful and long walks or bike rides to experience this green and generous nature up close.
Many activities, festivities and leisure activities are offered here, whether in summer or winter, for you, your family or friends. For example, just 26 km from my accommodation you will find Aquaventure Park, a water park with XXL buoys, slides, a catapult, a climbing wall, roller skating facilities, trampolines, and much more. It is located in Saint-André-les-Alpes (04170), on Lake Castillon, renowned for its turquoise waters surrounded by mountains.
