This was a perfect getaway weekend! The lodge is in a remote area, which is so quiet. We enjoyed kayaking, going for a boat ride with the owner, Gary, and just walking around the village.Peggy stayed in touch with me throughout the time before our visit as well as during the visit even though she was not able to be there for the weekend. Debbie was our hostess and she was wonderful! The lodge is so unique and comfortable.

Perfect Getaway

We had the lodge to ourselves. We love the location, very quiet, not a lot of people, the perfect place for some down time. This was our second time and the hosts remembered us! The suggestion of a new restaurant was wonderful. We would love to come down again soon.

Great lodge for some R&R!

Let me begin by saying that I had the pleasure of having Debbie oversee my stay and she was WONDERFUL. She made an delicious breakfast each morning, making sure to confirm what things I liked/wanted in advance. She was kind, very knowledgeable about the island, and super sweet! Furthermore, the lodge itself is very comfortable with updated bathrooms, clean rooms, and numerous amenities. The views are beautiful. The air-conditioning was mighty! (Especially against the heat wave that raged while I was there.) Also shout-out to Gary, the owner, who came down to the lodge personally when I had a request. He was quick to respond and accommodated my request. This lodge would be a great place to host a group! There's a game table, a bar, a HUGE television in the main room, large tables for dining with a group, and plenty of room for multiple people. There are 5 rooms with beds and a pretty awesome bonus room on the second floor for reading or admiring a 360 degree view of the island. The island has a unique charm and, from what Debbie shared, a rich history!Lots of fishing opportunities! And boy do locals fish at all hours of the day. Gary also does fishing parties, if going out on the boat is your thing! You can probably inquire about the details prior to booking. Finally, I need to reiterate how peaceful it was on the island. It was very quiet, almost too quiet if you're coming from a city. Lol. But seriously this is a great place to relax. The views are beautiful!10/10
