A very sweet and spotless cottage. Lots of amenities, incuding a full kitchen, laundry and a beautiful enclosed porch. Lots of complimentary coffee and tea, towels and blankets. Main bed very comfy but bunks were less so. Bring bug spray...we couldn't spend time outside as the mosquitoes were relentless. The heat was nearly unbearable our last two nights despite the fans. Disappointed that there was a busy road right across the river so not as quiet or secluded as we thought. Great hosts and very communicative.

Thank you Kimberlee for your detailed and honest review. We continuously strive to improve our guest experience. We will add mattress toppers to our bunks, and upgrade our fans. We will also add "approximate bug season" dates to our listing description. Mid July is usually when most bugs are gone.
Not sure why the road was so busy, possibly construction on the main highway. Thank you for your reservation. We hope you stay with us again
The listing said water access and air conditioner, after booking and paying we were told no air conditioner and stairs to water were washed out during the winter, wouldnt be fixed for our trip but if you were agile you could get to water, Not True. We were offered the option to cancel.but it was too late to find something else. They wouldnt give a discount and said there were 2 fans. 1 fan was broken at the base so didnt work well,
ended up leaving a day early as the night time heat was intolerable .

Thank you Melanie for your honest review. I am sorry you did not see my message on June 7th that the stairs on the property to the river had been washed out by the spring ice, and it would be repaired late July. The good new is, the stairs have been repaired and improved! We sincerely hope to host you again
The perfect place to rest! Charming and welcoming, the on-site equipment is perfect. It's small but really warm! We loved spending the week swimming in the little river and having campfires in the evenings. The hosts were courteous and very attentive! Thank you very much for this wonderful week!
