About the host

Host profile image
I have lived in the country most of my life. I love animals (all kinds) and peace & quiet. I am currently semi-retired and have developed some means of passive income which includes making my classroom space into a B & B. I like to meet my guests at check in and go over a few things, drive you down to the 2 points of River Access if you are interested. After that, I'm generally available if you need anything.

Why they chose this property

If you like the peace and quiet of the country while at the same time having a place that is easily commutable to small Hill Country towns (like Boerne, Fredericksberg, Bandera, Leon Springs, Comfort, Kerrville, Sisterdale, etc.) as well as a 45-minute commute to San Antonio (which is filled with attractions and things to do), you will enjoy it here. There are plenty of antique shops, mom & pop stores, restaurants, dance halls, breweries, wineries, holiday celebrations and parades, theme parks, and much more.

What makes this property unique

This is truly a get-away. If you would like to leave the city and sit under the oaks, lie in a hammock, fire up the grill or sit around the fire pit at night, relax on the porch swing or go down to a fairly secluded spot on the Guadalupe (not a state park, only for those in the neighborhood), you'll love the peace and quiet. The "fresh from the chicken" eggs my girls provide are truly delicious.
