Listing was just as described. Honestly bigger than it shows in the pictures! We were satisfied fully with our stay here. Hot tub was nice, fire pit has a grate to cook on,nice pool table, toaster/keurig/coffee pot/ microwave/all cooking necessities, toilet paper/2 laundry detergents, small shampoo and bar soap for 1-2 nights. I would recommend bringing your own pillows as the ones provided were quite flat, but besides that we had a great stay! Stink bugs are bad in Tennessee this time of the year (September) inside and outside of the cabin. Nice and secluded, nobody bothered us during our whole stay, about 40 mins from gatlinburg, 15 from climbworks zipline (highly recommend)
We really enjoyed our stay. The only problems we had was, there was no where to put trash and we couldn’t get the TVs to work. Other than those we had a wonderful day. We will definitely rent it again. Thanks so much.
Mountain View is a great cabin set back away from traffic or neighbors. The other cabins along it's gravel road are even set far enough away, you won't even notice you have neighbors. Everything was clean when we arrived and we had fun out in the hot tub at night. The only complaint I could think of, is the stopper for the Jacuzzi tub didn't stay closed so the tub didn't work. We didn't realize until towards the end of the trip because we typically shower, so it wasn't worth bringing up in the moment. There isn't much cell service at the cabin and the TV is only on basic satellite, so the pool table will be your friend. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are not far at all, so everything is accessible without being in the middle of the tourist crowd. Overall the cabin was exactly what we were looking for to get a break from everyday life.
First I want to say this should deter you from staying but just educate. To start with the good, it was great to have a place for our dog and the yard was great. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything you could need. Unlike other reviews stated there is no wifi, which was fine I just know some previous reviews mentioned it and it was confusing. The property was thoroughly cleaned upon arrival. However, limit your stay to 2 adults instead of the 4 that you can have. The pull out mattress is the worst I've ever slept on. It's about 2 inches thick and you're just sleeping on metal springs. The hot tub smelled of mold, my dad thought it was just the cover but after he went in he realized it was the water and he then also smelled of mold. Having been a hot tub owner until very recently that should never be the case. There isn't much to do in the area so if you're looking to do touristy stuff or eat out a ton you'll be driving a lot, but if you're looking for a chill vacation and wanting to eat in more this would be best. There were multiple instances of very sketchy individuals walking on the street in front of the property and we also found needles in the area. Though there were these few issues, there were so many accommodations that were great just have to weigh the pros and cons based on your plans.
This place was exactly what was advertised. The process was so simple and location was superb. Just the right amount of secluded but not far from anything in the area. The stay was fantastic and the host was so easy to work with. I had zero problems with my stay, but I have no doubt the communication would have been simple. Definitely looking forward to returning in the future!
One of the most beautiful and peaceful experiences I’ve ever had. The cabin is exactly as described and maybe even more beautiful. Even with other cabins within a hundred yards of each other, you can consider yourself secluded and away from the hustle and bustle of the world. The location is excellent in relation to any of the major attractions in East Tennessee and Western NC. Will definitely be back in the future.
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The location is private and quiet with beautiful views. Also enjoyed the surrounding community of Cosby. What a great place to live. Had a few things come up that Jen the manager helped us out with. She always responded promptly and was more than helpful. Went way out of her way to to help.
We love staying here so much! It is quite and only 45 min drive to NC mountains as well. PLUS plenty of space for our dog who loves coming on this adventure with us (be mindful lots of trails do not allow pets around the area). We tend to stay in when we are here enjoys the hot tub and no wifi - great way to disconnect from the outside world while reconnecting with yourself and/or partner. Plan to be back again next year in March! 3
I booked this cabin for our honeymoon. Cabin is beautiful inside and out. Near but just far enough away from the hustle of a busy area. Close enough to enjoy all the fun stuff to do in pigeon forge and gatlinburg. Will definitely be looking to book again in the future.
My partner and I stayed at this lovely cabin in the beginning of spring. Beautiful view of the mountains- quiet space- amazing hot tub. Pretty drive through the mountains to Hot Springs NC to visit for the day . Short shot away from Gatlinburg as well! Would return- best part is our pup got to come with us and had plenty of space to play. 2nd best part was having the dryer next to the shower - easy access to hot towels!
Great place to stay nice cabin lots of room and privacy
There's a few changes that should be made to assist disabled or handicap person.
Could use a place to put your clothes steps up to the hot tub and some places to hang your coat.
It was a nice stay for my husband and I. It was far enough away for the seclusion but close enough for us to go into Pigeon Forge and shop.
The only thing I wasn't happy with (and it isn't a game changer at all) is the water pressure, it wasn't very strong so it took me a while to get the soap out of my hair (I have a lot of hair lol) other than that, it was great. We enjoyed sitting out by the fire and husband loved the hot tub.
Very much as advertised. Close to Cosby Campground that has great trailheads/trails for hiking. Quiet. Small grocery store within walking distance. The only thing I needed was a small baking pan and it would have been nice to have wifi. Would not hesitate to stay here again!
We booked the cabin for my daughters birthday weekend in Pigeon Forge. We enjoyed the property and the hot tub but was a little disappointed there was no wifi
