About this property

Perfect Pittsburgh Suburbs house

Summary:
If you're looking for a modern and affordable city home in Pittsburgh, then look no further! Our newly furnished apartment is situated in a vibrant neighborhood just a 15 minute drive from downtown Pittsburgh and the Waterfront area. Enjoy off-street parking, plus you won't have to worry about any cleaning chore lists. Hear the buzz of city living but feel the peace and security as you enjoy the comforts of your brand-new home.

The Space:
The main floor is the living room, kitchen, and dining room. The second floor has the bedrooms and bathroom. The laundry and garage access are in the basement.

Virtual Tour: https://youtu. be/mUX8ENB35Q4 (remove the space before the 'be')

Guest Access:
You will park in the driveway or in the garage. You walk up the steps and enter through the front of the house into the living room. The first floor also is connected to the dining room and kitchen. Both bedrooms and the bathroom are upstairs.

The Neighborhood:
overall quiet with some potential for noise

The neighborhood boasts of numerous parklet playgrounds, the Carnegie Library of Carrick, historic Phillips Park (comprising walking paths, a disc golf course, a recreation center and swimming pool) and Volunteers Field (comprising a baseball-only field and a multipurpose athletic field). Carrick is also the home to Emma Lazarus Sensory Garden, where the Columbia of Carrick mural by Brian Gonnella is located.

In 1997, Carrick was named the first "Cool Community" in the northern United States by the U.S. Department of Energy. "Cool Community" is a national recognition program for strategic treeplanting for energy conservation purposes. Partnering with conservation organizations, community groups worked to weatherize homes and businesses, plant trees and flowers, and add elements of "green building" to the renovation of Carrick High School.

Getting Around:
You could uber from here but I would recommend having a vehicle if you are staying here.

Other Things to Note:
You’re welcome to use all dishes and utensils. There is a $100 fee if they are left dirty.

Great for our needs
Property is as listed. Fills very basic needs, which was all we were looking for. The backyard looks fenced in in the pictures, but isn't fully enclosed. It was still great to have a place for our puppy to go out on a leash. House is old and not updated, which was fine, but also not super clean. The property likewise has a lot of litter both in front driveway and in the backyard. The entry code didn't work initially but the owner was very responsive and remedied the situation immediately.

Just what we needed
Overall our stay was great!! We had never been to Pittsburgh before so didn't realize how steep the hills were, (even in the backyard lol), but the description of the property was spot on, and we would stay there again if ever coming back thru!!

Economical rental for weekend family event
This rental is as described in the listing. We were in town for a family graduation party and this property while not plush had what we needed to be comfortable and rested. Communication with owner was fast, quickly took care of a small issue we had. Location is good- easy to get to Southside, and fast route to Squirrel Hill/Oakland area w/o going through the downtown,

Hey! My name is Sarah, and I would love to host you at one of our amazing properties! I am a resident of the neighborhood and just a few short blocks away with my Labradoodle wolfhound Copper! We love this city and are always happy to share it with new people! On the weekends you will usually find us around the Mount Washington area, either walking one of the many hiking trails in the Mount or just up Grandview Avenue (best view of the Burgh). My family is from Pittsburgh, but I have always loved to travel. I moved to Nashville and toured the country singing with my band. It was amazing, but all good things come to an end so I got my business degree. I lived in Australia for a while too! This world has so many amazing places to go - I still have a very VERY long list. Even with all of that, my heart is still here in Pittsburgh, so this where I started my business and now call home. Thanks for taking some more time to check the place and my profile! Please reach out with any questions!
