Great place, terrible start

The place and the location was excellent. Being told I had to come with 1000 euros cash or else I'd not get the key (even though I'd already paid the rental fee) when I checked my messages as landed at the airport was not ok. It caused me a lot of anxiety and unnecessary stress thinking I was being scammed. Thankfully the VRBO customer service was very helpful and took care of it when I called but the fact that I had to deal with that was very off-putting. Otherwise everything was easy and went well but that was not the way I wanted to start my trip.
