The beach fronting the Royal Kahana experiences seasonal ocean current changes and swells that influence the beach & physical appearance and size. During the fall and winter, it is not uncommon that these currents sweep away a tremendous amount of sand that gradually returns in spring and summer, based on the ocean’s current activity and our island weather pattern.

This circumstance can affect the accessibility of our valued guests to the beach—the front desk posts daily on beach access. When the resort access is closed, public beach access is within 5 minutes walking distance. We apologize for the inconvenience, and mahalo nui for your understanding.

*Resort Notice: A resort-wide spalling repair is underway, and they're working on various lanais around the resort until at least July 2024.
