Our second trip this fall staying at this wonderful condo. We have been extremely satisfied and would highly recommend. Mary & Doug have a lovely home in a beautiful setting - our favorite stay in Boone. Mary keeps in touch and ensures all is well. Be sure to read their guide book and guest suggestions. Very helpful.

Our family really enjoyed our extended weekend here. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. Our family visits Echota regularly and this has been my favorite condo we’ve stayed in so far! We will definitely be back!

Slice of heaven !

This property was top notch , beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed . The view of Grandfather mountain was the best and many hours were spent relaxing and enjoying the sunny view.

Family summer vacation

We loved this property. The check in process was so easy (which was appreciated after a long drive). And after walking into the property the first thing you see is that view! Beautiful and better than the pictures. The property was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. It is clear that the owners put a lot of thought and care into making this property feel like a home… and it does. The welcome book that is there for guests has a lot of great information including recommendations for restaurants. We took several of those recommendations and honestly did not have a bad meal out! We were so thankful after days of hiking, biking, and atv riding that we had this place to come back too!

We loved this property. Everything was top notch! Location was amazing with unobstructed views of Grandfather Mountain. Condo was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. We will rent again here next time we travel to Boone.

Beautiful View

Very clean, organized, and comfortably appointed condo. Great location for exploring the mountains, but also so comfortable with such a beautiful view from the porch , that we were happy sitting on the porch and looking at Grandfather Mountain. Conscientious owners have created a delightful retreat for their guests.

Host was amazing, touched based to check on us after we arrived. She provided detailed directions, many lovely touches like welcome note & wine. Toiletries in baths etc. Condo was beautifully decorated and had amazing Mountain Views. Highly recommend !

Beautiful Weekend

This is our family’s second stay at Red Tail Nest and everything remained perfect. The unit is exactly as described and pictured - beautifully decorated, equipped with everything we needed and more, and such a spectacular view. Stunningly Gorgeous

The Home is absolutely Beautiful and Has some of the most stunning views of the mountains. the moment we walked in my entire family was so excited to be here. We loved every moment making memories playing games, tubing Hawks Nest, eating at the many wonderful restaurants nearby. Most of all we loved the extra care by the hosts to make sure our stay was spectacular. We Will be back for sure!

Perfect!

My family of 5 spent Thanksgiving week in this beautiful condo, which was immaculately clean and incredibly well appointed. It appeared that someone put a lot of thought into making sure that guests had available to them all manner of things that might come up as necessary or just pleasant during a stay (we even found batteries when we discovered the remote needed new ones!). The mountain views were stunning and the property extremely comfortable and spacious. We had a fabulous time just hanging out, reading and playing games, enjoying time together, and of course loved getting out as well. We downloaded the trails app recommended by the owner and it lead us to take some of the most amazing hikes we'd ever experienced. Fabulous trip! We'd return in an instant!

Loved being on the top of the mountain with a beautiful view of Grandfather Mountain! The location felt central to everywhere we wanted to explore. Mary is a gracious hostess and the condo is immaculate and comfortable. I wish we’d planned to cook because the kitchen is well stocked and the deck and grill set up would have made for the best sunset dinners. We hope to be back for a longer stay.

This property is beautiful with stunning views of Grandfather Mountain. Every aspect was 5 stars - communication with owners was prompt and attention to detail from cleanliness to the well stocked kitchen (coffee bar, water bottles in the fridge) and the welcome basket (so thoughtful) was far above anywhere we have stayed in Boone! The owner provided guide book was very helpful - recommended dining, hiking, shopping! Truly - Mary & Doug have provided a peaceful and beautiful retreat. The Red Tail Nest is an amazing property and one of the nicest properties at which we have stayed. Check in was super easy and the host (Mary) had everything set up for us. The views of Boone and the surrounding areas are amazing! The property is even nicer in person than the pictures show! Everything was super clean and very well organized. Great location with easy access to Grandfather Mountain, Boone, and Linville Falls. Overall, we had an excellent time and hope to return again soon!

The pictures of this amazing condo do not do it justice. It is by far the nicest, cleanest, most organized place I have EVER stayed. They thought of EVERYTHING!!! Will definitely being renting again! Such a pleasure to deal with Carol. The views of Grandfather mountain are amazing from the balcony.

Doug and I both grew up in South Carolina and still live there. His family would bring him to the Boone/Banner Elk/Blowing Rock area as a child. When we married, we would bring our family to this beautiful area. A favorite memory is traveling to Boone to get fresh-cut Christmas trees for our home in South Carolina.

Why they chose this property

We had stayed in Echota twice before buying this property, coincidentally, in the same building both times. The views of Grandfather mountain will just take your breath away. When this unit became available, we knew that we had found a home to love.

What makes this property unique

The views! Our condo has unobstructed views from every window. We are an end unit with no properties beside us. There is something special about being in the mountains. It is peaceful and restorative. We hope that you will love our property as much as we do.
