The property was tucked away and a great getaway! There was a fire pit on site which made the experience even better. The house was clean and very spacious! Can’t wait to book again!
Me and my husband, together with our friends stayed at this property. The property is very nice and clean. We love it so much especially at night, with the bonfire and looking at the stars.

I really do not like leaving bad reviews but I want to be honest about our stay. If it was just one thing I wouldn't even mention it but for $375-$400 per night we expected A LOT more and were not impressed. The host describes the property as sleeping 6 with an additional pull out sofa that sleeps an additional 2 more; however only provides 4 plates, 4 coffee cups and 4 small bath towels. The primary bedroom with the en-suite shower does not have a door or shower curtain and the water sprayed all over the bathroom floor. We had to use towels to wipe it all up and even though the host provides a washer & dryer, they did not have any laundry detergent so that we could wash the towels. The second bathroom could use a shower caddy so that you can put your soap, shampoo and other items on as the tub edge is so skinny you can't set anything on it. The floors and rugs were so dirty we could not walk around barefoot due to all the hair and dirt sticking to the bottoms of our feet and the kitchen rug in front of the sink had some sharp things sticking from it so you could not walk around barefoot. The coffee pot was filthy and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time, so we cleaned it ourselves. The pans were very old and need updating to non-stick pans and more than one of each kind would be nice. The host did not provide any cooking supplies other than salt. The host also describes the listing as providing a hair dryer and we looked everywhere but did not find one so we had to go buy one since I didn't ring mine to save on packing space. Even after buying one, the hair dryer plug would not fit into the outlets in either bathroom because of the way the outlets are configured so I had to dry my hair in the living room without a mirror. None of the lamps in the living room worked and most lamp shades still had the plastic coverings on them. The freezer did not have an ice maker and the host did not provide any ice cube trays to even make your own ice. The host did not provide internet even though they describe in the listing that they do, or if they do have it they did not provide us any login details. Two of the three guest bedrooms do not have mirrors so you have to use the ones in the bathrooms. We were very disappointed in our stay. The property itself is nice and we did enjoy sitting on the front porch and seeing deer in the mornings.
The house was clean, very comfortable and perfect for our stay. We were an easy drive to Comfort and Fredericksburg. We had deer in the yard every morning and tons of stars at night. Highly recommend for a pleasant weekend.
Cute property, lots of indoor space for a family with three teenagers. We really enjoyed the view of the countryside and the outdoor firepit. Wi-Fi wasn't available at this time but it was fine and it turned out to be a good thing... quality family time without interruption! The water wasn't drinkable but we took a short drive to dollar general and stocked up on water bottles. We enjoyed our stay!
