About this property
Private, Romantic Honeymoon/Anniversary Cabin Retreat with Pond and River Access
This romantic cabin getaway is an excellent way to celebrate special occasions. Whether you’re looking for a romantic place to propose or want a unique way to honeymoon or commemorate a milestone birthday, anniversary, or other special occasion, our gorgeous cabin is for you!
Our stunning log cabin, a feast for the eyes and soul, is built from massive cedar logs harvested in British Columbia, Canada. The fireplace and the lower level are constructed of Jackson's Ledge stone, quarried from nearby. The 2.5-inch-thick solid walnut front door has a stained-glass panel which depicts the gorgeous view from the upper level. The lighting fixtures are hand-made by Hammerton, an exclusive lighting company in Salt Lake City.
Beautifully lit with an authentic antler chandelier, the master bedroom features a king-sized bed, fitted with comfortable, soft sheets. The wraparound deck overlooks a small grove of aspens, a large pond, stately cottonwoods, green fields and has distant views of the campground and gazebo, and High Uintas. The river is not far away. Enjoy the gorgeous view from the table and chairs on the deck.
The iron spiral staircase, a true work of art, leads to the sitting area and kitchen where you will find a comfortable, custom-made sofa and ottoman for you and your love to snuggle by the propane log fireplace. The kitchen has a stove/oven, Sub-Zero refrigerator, microwave and all the essentials for your stay.
The fully tiled bathroom, with a wood tongue and groove ceiling, has a full tub and shower with European style sliding glass doors. (Optional outdoor bath available upon request.)
As you step out the door, you will find a patio with a table and chairs. The yard is beautifully landscaped with perennials, rock walls and a lawn area, with stairs descending to the second parking and fire pit area. (If using the portable fire pit, please be sure to use the screen cover at all times.) Just beyond, lies the pond.
Sit around the fire! Multiple open fire pits are on the property and firewood is provided.
Enjoy the water! Walk the banks of the Duchesne River and kayak on one of the three ponds. Kayaks and life preservers are available upon request.
You can fish in the Duchesne River, which winds through the ranch, upstream from the bridge, though a fishing license and your own gear are required. The river has several fish species including Brown, Cutthroat, Brook and others.
If interested, ask about fishing in ponds #1 and #2 for trophy, steelhead trout. Catch and release only - barbless hook required. Smallmouth bass are in pond #3 and can be caught and prepared for a meal, if desired. No license is required to fish in these private ponds.
Take a hike! Cross the bridge and head straight up the mountain, staying slightly to the right side of the bridge. For exploring hikes in the Uintas, Park City or other surrounding areas, a Utah hiking trail guide is in the living room, on the side table.
Dine alfresco! Enjoy a meal around the fire, on the balcony or deck, or at the gorgeous gazebo.
Take a daytrip! Dinosaur National Monument, Moonshine Arch, Moon Lake (one of the owner's favorite places outside paradise (Eagle River Hideaway!)), McConkie Ranch Petroglyphs, and so many more interesting daytrips are nearby!
Sometimes, there’s nothing better than escaping to your own private oasis with your significant other for a relaxing and romantic retreat. If that sounds appealing, then this romantic cabin getaway is precisely what you’re looking for!
