This beautiful home is our families’ home place

my husband‘s grandfather built it by hand from wood off of the farm. We love to share this home with others because it’s part of our farm and it’s an experience that children need to have!
the beautiful landscape, the animals, the beauty of nature, all children all families need this experience and we like to share.
We really like meeting people from different places !
we have met so many kind, interesting courteous people through this and we hope and pray to continue meeting kind courteous, wonderful guests
We strive to keep the home beautiful and in tiptop condition, but remember this home was built in the early 1940s and it is constantly being updated and beautified. Many family memories have been made here since 1940s. As time goes many of our family has moved away. This makes it even more important for us to share the wonderful country views and sounds to a new generation. We strive to maintain the integrity of the farm and house so that little ones will stay and develop more of an appreciation of a time gone by. Cherished memories and enjoyment of a friendly community and it’s beautiful heritage.

Why they chose this property

It is our home place. It is the last of the family run farms with tobacco barns , hay barns, creeks and miles of pasture fields. We work from sun up to way after sundown to make sure we keep the farm going as best as we can.

What makes this property unique

my husband‘s grandfather built the house in the early 1940s. They had to wait to finish the house until World War II was over and aluminum was available again for the windows. All wood was cut from trees on the farm. The foundation , basement walls are poured concrete and upstairs Poured plaster walls, main floor, and upstairs
hand poured crown molding in the main sitting area! It’s a one of a kind !
