Relaxing 1 Bedroom/ 1 Bath condo on the 2nd and 3rd floor, with stunning views of the Estuary, Coastline and Mountains. Entry way porch in front and cozy balcony in the back with views of landscaped area, coastline and ocean where you can BBQ or relax with wine or coffee. The bedroom is upstairs and has a queen size bed. Two single couches are on the main level, can be also be used as a bed, sleeping two more guests. The maximum number of guests that are allowed in this unit is 4.

The soft white sand beach, with subtle waves, provides a family safe and delightful experience. Shell hunters are delighted with their walks along the beach. Dolphins delight all viewers by swimming close to shore. The adjacent mangrove lined estuary is teeming with all types of marine life and can be explored during high tide by Kayak. Kayakers and snorkels will find the close island a joy to visit.
This 1 bedroom Beachfront home is not your typical rental. It not only has a fully appointed kitchen, with a dishwasher, but also a clothes washer and dryer.
The spacious L-shaped granite kitchen counter top, solid cedar cabinets, full size stove, fridge. and dishwasher, make time spent in kitchen enjoyable.

Grounds, beach are wonderful. Kitchen well supplied. Internet was very good. We never figured out how to get TV to work on US/English channels except one less desired. Unit is in good order, clean. No paper products (bath tissue, paper towels) provided, had to buy our own. Carrying stuff some distance from nearest parking and up stairs was a challenge for older folks like us (unexpectedly, office closes at 5 pm for their assistance with help). Overall, a good stay at a reasonable price.

Location is great! Close to beach- just around the corner. Nice view from balcony/porch. Complex has a cafe, library, rentals for kayaks, etc. Be aware, unit is upstairs and bedroom is up another flight of stairs. Secure parking. Would stay afain.

Nice getaway

We enjoyed being back in San Carlos after a ten year hiatus. The town has changed. Explore it and see what you think. Pilar is close to the highway and on the beach. Very picturesque.

Bring your bath and beach towels. The WiFi in the room was down the first day. We didn’t have access to the balcony throughout our stay because neither of the keys provided belonged to the lock to the back door.

Deceiving

Spectacular view, great private beach, amazing location. However, the condition of the whole unit was poorly maintained, the ceiling had cobwebs and full of dust. Appliances were old and rusty. Dishware was chipped, there was barely one good one. Doors either unlockable or worn out. Upstairs closet moldy and disgusting. We were forced to take the 59 insurance for any broken item, which turned out to be a complete scam, because there was nothing of value to justify that charge.

Lovely spot, good value

What we loved: Location, great view, beach, clean pool, nice complex, handy cafe, friendly staff, comfortable bed, good water pressure, en suite stackable washer&dryer, reasonable price. What we didn’t love: Wasn’t super clean (dirt/dust) on checkin. Kitchen bowls/pots/pans/etc are mostly quite old — could be replaced for cheap at the segundas. Had extra pillows but they were brown/stained, no extra pillowcases or sheets. There’s a cleaning fee but also a list of cleaning chores for guests to do on exit. Bring your own amenities like dish soap, bath soap, paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, shampoo, laundry soap, spices, ice, etc — those supplied were minimal or (mostly) non-existent. Overall we were content with the value but are accustomed to more conveniences at this price point.
