Stay somewhere else

#1 No official parking. You will be forced to park your rental on the side of the road next to a large bluff. No security, however we had no issues. #2 No hot water. Told “front desk” and they just apologized and said they’ll check it out tomorrow. So cold showers for night 1. The next morning they reset the hot water heater and the water was either scolding hot or cold. It was never truly fixed! #3 Curtains in room were disgusting. Had black stuff all over them. #4 One person worked the bar and kitchen so it took a while to get a drink and/or food. #5 Only 1/4 nights we had enough hand towels to bathe. When we asked for more they didn’t have any. #6 The security pad for entering the property after hours locked us out and my wife had to climb the building to go open the door. They apologized the next day and said “this is silly but the side door to the reception area is really easy to open without a key”. Doesn’t sound secure!!!

Unique and friendly boutique hotel

This was my first time to Costa Rica, Zina and her staff made this trip an amazing experience. Jose the concierge gave excellent suggestions for activities. The hotel had everything we needed. It was modern, quiet, clean, with a beautiful view. It was centrally located to town and beaches. The pool provided a refreshing dip after being at the beach or in the rainforest all day. Maui the dog even made a couple of appearances in case you were missing your pets. We will return to Ocean Vista Suites. Maybe as soon as next year. Thank you Zina, Gustavo, and Jose. Best trip ever!
