About this property

A cozy retreat to the farm life.

Welcome to the Shadowbrook Farm Stay. Tucked in the hills of upstate New York, this 1700's Shaker barn has been restored into a beautiful guest house. It sits upon a two hundred acre working pasture raised meat farm. This barn was used to hold, and milk cows for two hundred and fifty years.

Guests will have access to portions of the farm lands which are highlighted on the maps provided in the Farm Stay manual. Farm tours are also available with a reservation.

The barn is set with a very open floor plan - essentially one large room (besides the bathroom). There is bed space for four: a very high loft with a king bed, and a bunk bed down stairs in the back corner. This space could potentially sleep more than four. The building is heated solely with radiant heat. It has a fully functional kitchen with beautiful maple counter tops. Cabinets and other decorations are all shaker inspired. There is a large fireplace and also a stone fire ring on the patio, both of which can be stocked with wood.

The television is run off of the WiFi - it is a smart TV. Guests may sign in to their respective accounts on the various media apps. If not, arrangements can be made.

Would be nice to have blinds on the lower doors as there were people behind the home in the garage working. This is not shown in the pictures. Also was a little hot inside. Beyond that the stay was great and a beautiful property love the store!!!

Farmhouse cottage in the country

Lovely quiet and charmingly decorated . A peaceful setting to get away from it all . We enjoyed the well equipped kitchen and fire pit during our weekend away. The stars were glorious!
