Smack Dab in the Middle of anything you need. This stacked 3 story, 4 bedroom 2 bath features a balcony for every bedroom in towering old trees. It is stylishly decorated with a different theme in every room. Walk to get coffee and ice cream along with a dozen restaurants and eateries nearby. Downtown is about 10 minutes away. This is a beautifully located home near UT, the At&t Convention center, theaters, hospitals & the state capital. No matter what you are looking for in Austin, this will likely have it!

Hemphill park is located to the south. That area is a historic neighborhood in Austin and is a lovely neighborhood that will delight you in both architecture and gardens. Another park sits behind that where the neighborhood gathers for doggy play dates.
Pease park is south on Lamar and is second to Zilker in best parks in town. Check out the massive Troll art installation they have built. Really excellent.

A wonderful bike trail called Shoal Creek trail starts on 38th st and takes you to downtown. It is a lovely ride.

There are too many restaurants to name, but honorable mention goes to Honeymoon Spirit Lounge one block away and Tweedy's where you can catch some live music and outdoor vibes. Some of the best pizza in town is a few blocks away, along with bbq. There are 3 grocery stores within blocks.

If you like to shop vintage and second hand, you will love the shops down the street.

I could rave all day about this neighborhood. It is peaceful and uncongested, yet youthful and vibrant. Look no further, you found it!

Convenient location

We had a family party to attend nearby and didn’t want to have to drive far. This property was convenient for us to get to and from the event without issues. There were a total of 5 adults and 1 child. The property itself is clean and was well stocked. Everything was in working order. I would rate the property higher but I felt the description lacked details and I would not have chosen this home if I had known. This home is a multi level home. 3 levels to be exact. No restrooms on the main floor. This was hard as my parents and mother in law were in attendance and the stairs made it very difficult for them to move about conveniently. The home welcomes pets, but beware there are no fences in the backyard. Be cautious with your pets. The owner was very responsive of my concerns with minor details of the home. She was wonderful! In all, my recommendation to the owner would be to ensure to includes details about the stairs and no bathroom on main floor. My parents had a difficult time getting up and down.

Convenient stay

Located about a mile north of UT Austin campus, comfortable house. There were more (and larger) bugs than we were used to, but that sounds like it's common for Texas. Overall, seemed clean but maybe not great insulation. The AC had to be set about 10 degrees cooler than the actual temperature inside.

I got to Austin as fast as I could and wish I had gotten here sooner! Been 10 years now, I can hardly believe it. I have been a host since 2017 minus the Covid year. I'm a nurse by trade and entrepreneur by heart, but really none of those titles mean much to me. Just a decent human who likes decent humans, like you!

Why they chose this property

I have lived in South Austin and West Austin and this North Central Location is by far my favorite and I am not going anywhere. This neighborhood has everything I desire. Peace and quiet and still plenty of activity. You never feel alone and you never feel congested. It is the perfect pace for me and I hope you will feel the same.

What makes this property unique

Location, location location! I have already raved about it in the description. As far as the house itself it is certainly unique, but nothing particularly extraordinary. It is very practical. One thing that I love about the house is the bedrooms are upstairs from the living area and you can't hear anything going on downstairs when you are sleeping. So if you have a group or family with you and they want to stay up late, you will never know.
All the beds and pillows are high quality so you can count on getting some good rest.
The house has a N-S orientation with plenty of light and plenty of windows. All the bedrooms have their own balconies. It is definitely an older home and was built with a lot of wood. Wood provides a feeling of warmth that some of the modern homes lack today.
