About this property

Inn at Parkspring 6 | Private entrance | Parking

Location, Location, Location! Welcome to The Inn at Park Spring! Formerly the Park Spring Bed & Breakfast, we recently dropped the breakfast to serve Vrbo guests near and far as a boutique hotel.

ROOM 6: With your own private guest entrance at the back of the building, this room offers a quiet retreat in the heart of Portland. One off street parking spot is offered, only one block away from the inn.

The space:
This historic home was built in the early 1800s and has served many purposes. What started as a single family home turned into an antique store, then converted to a rooming house, morphed into a bed and breakfast in the 1980's, and recently dropped the breakfast to serve Vrbo guests near and far.

The location of the Inn at Parkspring cannot be beat. We are located downtown, just a half mile walk to the center of the Old Port. Our neighborhood offers you a central spot located in the heart of the arts district, on the edge of the tranquil west end neighborhood, and just a stones throw to museums, art galleries, theaters, restaurants, shops, and bars.

With just six guest rooms, our inn offers a peaceful stay, satisfying social guests or those seeking solace. Each private room, with private en-suite bath, is furnished with a queen sized bed, television (no cable, just smart TV with Netflix account), white noise machine, a reading chair (or couch depending on the room), and a mini fridge.

Other things to note:
While the room has its own private entrance, the fenced in gravel courtyard is used as a passthrough by the innkeeper. You may see them in passing as they make their way to their entrance.

The inn has been newly renovated and will still be going through some exterior transformations over the spring and summer of 2022. During this time, you may see construction type activities ranging from a debris pile by the innkeeper's entrance (just past your entrance) to contractors cutting boards for the exterior trim. All work is completed between 9am-6pm.

Great Spot!
It was clean and quaint — located close to all the spots we wanted to go. 10 minute walk or $7 Uber ride. We will definitely stay again, thank you!

Clean and a great location!
Would highly recommend this place because it was very clean, plus it was in walking distance to so much of Portland. An added bonus was the extensive guide to Portland (especially the restaurants) that the owner prepared. Communication with her was good. Thank you!

The property is an apartment on the back of a old house. To enter one must pass through a wood fence into an area with garbage cans and a dirt floor. The area is undeveloped which is unfortunate. Entry is controlled by a combination lock that is a nuisance and feels unsecure. The room has rugs that are a trip risk. The sink is outside of the bathroom and cluttered with coffee supplies but lacked even a box of tissues. Considering the price it is mediocre at best. The room was well cleaned.

About the host

Host profile image
My husband and I started renting our one bedroom apartment on another hosting platform while traveling out of state. Before long, we had fallen in love with hosting travelers and knew we wanted to take it to the next level by hosting full time.

After years of working at a wonderful property management company in town, we now own and manage our apartments and two small boutique hotels. We pride ourselves in customer service and do everything in our power to make sure our guests have the best stay possible.

We enjoy spending our spare time with our daughters, preferably traveling, whether it's by car, boat, plane, or train.

Safe travels!
