Cedar House - Durango Condo w/ Sauna, Hot Tub, and Pool

Conveniently located just a mile from historic downtown, this bright and open in-town condo offers a spa-like retreat for guests wanting to relax with our on-site sauna, hot-tub, pool, and community BBQ. Connect to a wealth of hiking and world-class biking trails right out the back door, or walk across the street to enjoy the expansive views from Fort Lewis College.

We've designed our space to be a retreat of sorts, encouraging guests to create, draw, write, read, play games, and enjoy each other's company. For guests needing to work from the road, we offer high-speed Wifi (~300 Mbps) as well.

Guests can reach out to us at any time to let us know what they need to make their stay as comfortable as possible. Please message us through the app (not via call/text) to ensure the fastest response as we do co-host and take turns messaging.

A car is recommended for your stay as rideshares are hit or miss in Durango. The condo is located close (5 min drive) to downtown Durango & Fort Lewis College. Purgatory is outside of town and about 35 minutes from the condo.

Please note that this unit has no central air conditioning/heating. There are baseboard heaters, ceiling fans, a window A/C in the bedroom and living room (estimated June-September; please confirm before booking), and a tower fan. Pets are not allowed in the unit due to complex rules.

We regret that we cannot typically honor early check-in or late check-out requests due to same day checkouts or checkins. To ensure availability, please consider booking the night before or after your stay to allow you more time to relax before or after your flight.

For stays longer than one week, toilet paper, shower supplies, and other "consumables" will be provided as a starter supply but will not be restocked during your stay.

Great location & adorable condo!

Quick trip to Durango for a wedding and this was the perfect place to stay! Close to everything and very centrally located making it easy to get around! Check in and welcome by the owners was outstanding! Highly recommend.

Just what we needed

Great spot close to Horse Gulch for mountain biking and walkable to Fort Lewis for throwing the frisbee and checking out the 360 degree mountain views. We arrived, parked the truck and used bikes for our entire stay (though the climb up the hill from town will get your heart rate up). The house was spotless, had everything we needed, and was tastefully decorated. We felt right at home.

Great location at a great price, close to town

Hi, we're Melissa and Matt from sunny Scottsdale, Arizona. We both have full-time jobs but love to invest in both vacation and long-term rentals throughout the US on the side. We've been hosting on Vrbo and Airbnb since 2016 (!!) and really pride ourselves on the lessons we've learned over the last 5+ years to be really easy-to-stay-with hosts. We previously owned multiple vacation rentals in Arizona but in 2021 started buying in places we love or near family so that we can take advantage of our properties ourselves!

Why they chose this property

My husband Matt and I first visited Durango during an RV road trip and instantly fell in love! We really enjoy visiting town to escape the Arizona heat in the summer, ski in the winter, and relax at the hot springs all year long. We knew we wanted a place we could rent out when we aren't using it and were so lucky to find this condo off-market after almost a year of searching for just the right one! The unit is simple but comfortable and really gives us a chance to disconnect and focus on each other while traveling. We can't wait to share it with you and host you during your trip to Durango!
