This old courtyard (Kolabo) with a spacious house, which was originally built around 1900 by two brothers for their families, lies in a clearing in the woods of the Småland region, all on its own. From the outside it shows itself in a traditional, red and white robe and a typical wooden veranda decorated with carvings. From the inside, however, it presents itself as contemporary and as new, with a bright, inviting living ambience. Three old tiled stoves and a fireplace provide pleasant warmth and a cozy living atmosphere in the colder seasons.
The ground floor has a kitchen, laundry room, bathroom, dining room, 2 living rooms and a bedroom. On the upper floor there are three further bedrooms, one with an adjoining children's room (small chamber), also a bathroom and a living gallery. A total of 10 beds are available (+ two children).
The kitchen and laundry room are equipped with an extra-wide stove (four plates and oven), microwave, fridge with freezer compartments, dishwasher, coffee machine, washing machine and dryer.
Internet reception is only possible via UltraStick - available at Radiohus in Bredaryd.
The house is on a 1 hectare natural site, with a fireplace and other outbuildings and plenty of space to run around and play. Table tennis, darts and other games are in one of the barns. Also a tandem as well as old but functional bicycles.
In the evening you can sit on the terrace or balcony and admire the sunsets. The next neighbor lives 1 km.
There are shops in Lanthandel in Tallberga, about 3 km away, larger supermarkets can be found in Bredaryd, Forsheda, Värnamo and Gislaved.
The nearest hospital, pharmacies and other public facilities can also be found in Värnamo.
The lake shore of Gryssjön can be reached on foot, where the available rowing boat is moored. The large lake Bolmen is only about 4 km from the house. There are various public bathing spots there as well as on the lakes Flaten and Tansjön. A little further south you will find the small harbor town of Sunnaryd with a very special ferry connection to the island of Bolmsö. Sweden's only cable ferry runs here. Then we continue to Ljungby and Lagan, with a legend and an automobile museum. South of Sunnaryd is the Tiraholm fish smokehouse, where you can buy lunch - of course only in the event that you yourself were not lucky with fishing in one of the numerous waters. Further north you can reach the Isaberg forest and hiking area with the southernmost ski area in Sweden in about 30 minutes by car.
Also worth a visit is the National Park Store Mosse with hiking opportunities, rare bird species and the Museum Naturum and the Western leisure park High Chaparral.
A day trip away takes you to Smaland Astrid Lindgrens with the city of Vimmerby and the Bullerbü and Katthult farms.
And if you want urban variety, you can a. explore the cities of Gothenburg (2 hours), Jönköping (1.5 hours) or Stockholm (4 hours).
