About this property

Yosemite Lakes House. Mins to Yosemite or Fresno

The Yosemite Lakes country house is a one-of-a-kind home, located a short drive from Fresno. Built in the 70s and fully remodeled in 2020. This home over looks the Yosemite Lakes Goft Course. Designed with luxe materials and furnished with modern and mid-century pieces, the country house sleeps 16. The interior is open-plan and expansive. A wrap-around deck shows off beautiful views. Bedrooms are cozy and fitted with premium linens.
The space
Remodeled in 2020, the Yosemite Lakes Country House is the only cabin with this unique elevated look and feel in Yosemite Lakes. The grand room boasts 20'+ lofted ceilings, and a large Restoration Hardware sectional couch for relaxing. The kitchen table graciously holds 10+ individuals for dinner parties and social gatherings.

40 min to the southern entrance to Yosemite. 20 min to Childrens Hospital and 30 min to Fresno.

The views from The Yosemite Lakes house are some of the best in this area. A wrap-around deck provides a great location to take in the surroundings, enjoy early-morning coffees and meals with friends and family. The inside of the home is open-plan and expansive.

The kitchen was updated in 2020 and is fully stocked with all kitchen essentials The countertops are a beautiful white quartz.

There bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs and some upstairs and because of this the Yosemite Lakes Country House is not 100% wheel-chair friendly.

There are no other lodgings quite like this in the Yosemite area; the interiors are thoughtful, elevated, beautiful, well-curated with a mix of modern and vintage decor.

Notes about staying in an older home in Yosemite: Biggest thing to note is, while the house is recently remodeled and styled beautifully, you're still in the remote mountains! It can take a while to warm up in winter (even though we have new heating units), the units can be tricky to operate the first time and there's the occasional critter (bugs, spiders, mice) that make their way into the house, despite our best efforts to keep them out. We love our space, and want you to as well, but also want to be upfront that it's true mountain living and not like staying at a Ritz Carlton.

Winter Stay
Great accommodations, away from the main cities, kind of like camping for city people. I liked the space, the downside would be the photos doesn’t accurately represent the live space.

Not as listed-Huge headache
We rented this house during our daughter’s wedding. There was no pool access even though listed. No kitchen, hand towels or washcloths, only bath towels. Holes and dips in the kitchen and bathroom flooring, which were tripping hazards. There was no way to lock the house and it was open when we arrived. Outside property was trashed. Took me two hours to pick it up. The deck was unstable and we did not feel comfortable standing on it. House smelled of intense deodorizer but it was not clean. The Glassware and dishes had to be washed before we could use them and there was not enough glassware. The kitchen was barley stocked. BBQ was disgusting with old food still in it and not cleaned out. We wouldn't even use it. Garage had construction dust all over it which tracked in throughout the house. One of the bedrooms had some kind of bug in the sheets, but we were told they were not bedbugs when we showed to pest control. On the other hand, inside space was huge, beds and bedding were comfortable, the air conditioning and fans worked great. House accommodated a large group. Large amount of available parking. This house needs a bunch of improving and additional items for guests before it should be rented again. Owner didn't offer to help with any of the issues. His response was to find other accommodations (we couldn't-everything was sold out and we were a large wedding group) and he would refund our money. He never offered any help-one word responses. It was out daughter's wedding, so we stuck it out. Ugh, would never recommend this property.

Cute spacious home, open layout
The home was perfect for our family gathering. The open layout made it nice to feel a part of conversations and activity while cooking and preparing food. The large living room and openness to kitchen made it easy to accommodate a large group. Check-in and check-out was nice and easy.
