It was our second year at this stunning property and once again our family has been able to gather comfortably with some clear down home luxury. Intimate spaces as well as large generous accommodations facilitate reconnection and reflection. There is something about the beauty of the property and the wide open vistas that soothe the spirit.

Phenomenal Stay

As 3 generations of family, we have rented many properties over the years to allow us to gather. This rivals the elite beach access San Diego homes we have experienced. The attention to detail in each component of this property made the experience wonderful for our entire clan. Highly recommend.

Bucket List Vacation

This beautiful home offered our family spectacular views, high end/comfortable accomodations, and was situated close enough to Yosemite,Bass Lake, and Sequoia National Park for day trips. We spent much of our time exploring, climbing, swimming, and taking once in a lifetime photos on our day trips. On our down days, we enjoyed our time at the house watching the cows on the property, cooking family dinners in the main house for our group of 11 people, and dining very comfortably in the spacious dining room. We also utilized the barn house which offered all the same amenities as the main house including fully stocked kitchen, washer/ dryer, 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. This barn home was gorgeous and a perfect addition for our large party. This property was created for sunset views from the wrap around porch at the main house. The owners were so gracious to share their special space with us.This is a higher end rental and the attention to detail, decor, and comfort cannot be emphasized enough. We did have two small children in our group, and this home offered plenty of entertainment for them including corn hole, a baby pool to be filled with water, and a large play set on the back end of the property. But, mostly we found the kids just wanted to be kids and enjoyed mostly just running around the yard.

Peacef Stay at Shady Oak Ranch — Relaxing, Clean, and Perfect for larger groupsWe spent several days at Shady Oak Ranch and absolutely loved it. The property is huge — over 100 acres — and feels peaceful and private from the moment you drive through the gate. It’s quiet, open, and full of amazing views in every direction. We took several walks around the property and kept running into the friendly, laid-back cows that just hung out and watched us go by. The main house itself was spotless when we arrived, which we really appreciated. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and clearly cared for. You can tell the owners put effort into keeping it nice. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the living area with the big fireplace quickly became our favorite hangout spot in the evenings. The layout makes it easy for everyone to be together — some cooking, some playing pool, some just relaxing — without feeling crowded. The wrap-around porch is a huge highlight. You can literally see something beautiful from every side — oak-covered hills, open sky, and rolling pastures. There are several seating areas and even a couple of hanging daybeds that are perfect for a morning coffee or an afternoon nap. The property has plenty to do without ever leaving. The outdoor kids play set is epic and open lawns add to the charm. The game room has pool, ping pong, and darts. Whether you’re playing a few games, mingling by the fire, or just relaxing with a drink, it’s an easy place to slow dow
