The Turtle House, a 5 Bedroom Oceanfront Villa!!!

The Turtle Villa is the perfect location for an unforgettable and authentic Hawaiian experience. One of the best oceanfront views on the island with the most stunning sunsets. Our home is great for family getaways or large gatherings. Create family memories that will have you coming back for more.
If you're looking for your own mini-resort, then this is the place. Our home has 5 bedrooms, each with an ocean view. Walk through the front door to an open living space and kitchen and views of the ocean.

There are 5 lovely ocean-view bedrooms. The master bedroom is on the ground floor with an en-suite bathroom, doors to the lanai, and a 55" flat screen TV. There are 4 bedrooms upstairs, three with remotely adjustable queen size beds., and one with two remotely adjustable twin size beds that can be converted into one king size bed. There is an additional open loft on the second floor with two twin beds.

The backyard includes an outdoor tiki bar with a TV, dining area, bbq grill, oversized sofa chat area, and deck along the oceanfront.

Both my wife and I have worked for a major airline for 75+ years combined. We have traveled all over the world but in the last five years, we have used Vrbo instead of hotels. We have enjoyed using Vrbo because we get to stay, eat and mingle with the local people of the area. We get to know their cultures and most of all listen to stories about their heritage. This has been a very rewarding experience for our children and us.

Why they chose this property

In the early eighties, I transferred to Hawaii and worked there for two years. During my time there got to meet a lot of people and fell in love with the "aloha spirit". Since then, I have vacationed with my family on Oahu countless times. My first daughter was born on the island, and recently held her wedding on the North Shore, it is also where my Father and Mother celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Hawaii has been, and always will be, a special place for us. This house is in Makaha on the northwest side of Oahu which has fantastic sunsets, great beaches, wildlife, and most of all the "aloha spirit".

What makes this property unique

On many occasions, while looking over the outer wall you can see turtles swimming among the surf. A short 5-minute walk to Aki's cove on our street you can see large green sea turtles relaxing on the beach; a 10-minute walk south will bring you to Papaoneone beach where the soft white sand contrasts amazingly with the turquoise blue water. A 15-minute walk north to Makaha beach, you will find a hidden gem made up of a white sandy beach, great waves, and very few tourists. In February, Makaha Beach Park hosts a world-class surf competition. By car, 10-minutes south is a popular hike to the pillboxes with stunning views of the mountains, beaches, and sunsets; 25 minutes south is Aulani (Disney Hawaiian resort), a great golf course in Ko'Olina, and amazing beach coves. 30 minutes away are some popular stores such as Costco, Target, Marshalls, and many other stores and eateries. Honolulu airport is 45 minutes away, and Waikiki is a scenic 55-minute drive.
