Perfect getaway in Ocean Isle Beach-beach just steps away & pet-friendly!

Relax at this peaceful beach house located on the beautiful west side about mid-island on a street with direct public beach access just steps away! No need to drive and try to find parking. Feel free to bring your pets, if desired! Home has 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths. (3 queen rooms and 1 bunk room with 2 sets of twin-over-twin bunk beds), each room has their own smart TV. Perfect for families or a few couples! The kitchen is open to the great room. All furniture has been recently upgraded, along with decor and bedding. There are 2 outdoor showers, one enclosed/private in the backyard and the other in front yard to rinse off before going in the house. There is a “crow’s nest” top deck where you can enjoy sunrise and sunset views of the inter-coastal and ocean! The kitchen is fully equipped with all kitchen essentials. There is a laundry room w/washer & dryer and a grill on-site.

Note, there are exterior security cameras at front & rear entrance into the home, as well as garage/carport area. There are no cameras in the interior of the home. They are strictly used for security at entrances and fire/damage protection while home is unoccupied.

In peak season, mid-June through mid-August, we require a 7-day minimum stay that goes from Sun-Sun. We made this change to ensure our cleaning crew has time to do a thorough clean & launder the linens. Saturdays in beach towns, the cleaning crews are spread very thin with little time to clean. In addition to having a very clean house, another renter benefit is you won’t experience the intense check-in/check-out traffic on Saturdays. 😎

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
When stripping any used beds, only remove the sheets and not the blankets or pillows. Please put the sheets and towels that need to be laundered in a pile by the washer/dryer
Please roll the trash and recycle bins to the curb for collection on scheduled days and upon departure.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Keep pets off all furniture in the house, including beds. Crate when away, or close all bedroom doors and cover furniture with a pet blanket from home
We love allowing pets, but we also want to keep the house clean, so following the pet rules will help us continue to welcome them. :)

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect less than a five minute walk straight up the street to the beach. The house was a great size, completely furnished, including the kitchen and very comfortable. We love the fenced in backyard for the dogs. Lisa was great to work with and communicated well. I know it’s the end of the season, but the outdoor furniture could use a little cleaning but that’s the only suggestion. We had a great stay there and would definitely book again.

Ocean Isle Never Disappoints!This quaint house is in a perfect location—just a short walk to the beach. The street is family-friendly, and offers a beautiful view of the inlet and ocean. We’ve stayed in Ocean Isle before, and this spot really stands out for its charm and convenience. Already looking forward to coming back!

Quaint

Although i was looking in the n myrtle beach area, this is a quieter area. An hour from myrtle, but a nice day trip. Overall a good place to stay and my 2 shepards loved the outside area, the porch levels, and beach access!

Just okay house

The place needs pressure washing. All the outside chairs on the patio were dirty. All the woodwork in the house was dirty. The ice maker and water dispenser in the refrigerator didn't work. The grill needs to be replaced. The pictures are very deceiving. Might have been nice if sq footage was disclosed.

Great Week at the Beach

Fish Lip Lodge was perfect for our week at the beach! The house was clean and well stocked. The quick, easy walk to the beach and a private dock were great. The house had everything we needed and Jeanne was very helpful, responsive and great to work with. The outdoor shower was great after a long, sandy day at the beach and the beach wagon was invaluable. Our favorite part of the week was watching sunsets from the Crow’s Nest.

Just what we needed!

Our family had a great stay at this cottage. The listing is just how we found the cottage to be. Easy short walk to the direct access beach walkway and a very short walk towards the Intracoastal canal for a view of stunning sunsets! We loved sitting up in the crow's nest every evening. The neighborhood was very quiet and friendly. This was our first trip to OIB and it is a lovely beach town. No highrises, just cottages and wide beaches! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

A Great Beach Experience from Top to Bottom

From the rooftop deck for morning coffee and evening cocktails to the wonderful outside shower, this house was perfect for our weekend unwind. Ocean Isle is quickly becoming our favorite beach. The house is on a road with public access to the beach so no stairs getting to the ocean. The house, recently renovated has a beachy inviting palette and was designed to make you feel at home. Wrapped in a comfortable deck, you couldn't find a better time. The experience was like our hostess was an old friend offering her family home to us!

Perfect location for easy beach access. The furnishings and decorations were so welcoming and an easy, laid back vibe. Appliances provided were perfect. Large refrigerator and coffee maker are what we used. But an air fryer, blender and glass top stove also provided, which we didn't use. Our little dog loved to back yard to go pee in. What a perfect getaway. We will be back to this one. Best one we have had and this is our third trip to Ocean Isle since 2022. Highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed.

Great house in a great location. House had plenty of space for our group of 5 and 2 dogs. House had various updates throughout and host graciously provided some weekly essentials. Beach access was a ramp so it made using a wagon a breeze. Our first time to Ocean Isle and we are already planning another trip back.

We will be back!Kitchen lacked nothing. Two minute walk to beach with 7 year old. Walking distance of village. We had three families staying so we’re hesitant of two bathrooms but there is a very nice outdoor shower that should be taken into consideration if your concerned about bathrooms.

My husband, Stephen and I live in Charlotte, NC with our two boys, Hudson & Paxton. We met in NYC and my husband's entire family resides in Charlotte, so we moved there shortly after getting married. I grew up in Tampa, FL and spent almost every weekend at the beach, so I have been longing for a beach house of our own. We love the small town feel of Ocean Isle Beach, but also enjoy that there is plenty to do in addition to going to the beach. This home is more than just a vacation rental, it was owned by our close friends since the early 1980's and full of many years of memories. This is now our family vacation home, and we are happy to share it with you, and your family & friends. Please care for it as if it were your own.

Why they chose this property

We have been coming to Ocean Isle Beach for years and have stayed at this home quite a few times on vacation ourselves. So, when the opportunity arose that our dear friend's family decided to sell this house, we immediately jumped on it! It is the perfect size home and the location on the island is perfect! Short walk to both the ocean and the intercoastal, with views of both from the crow's nest on top of the house!
