About this property

The Hygge at Blue Ridge - Beautiful Mtn view, 3 Fire types, Hot Tub

You’ll be able to relax and unwind with this cozy getaway. This 2 bed/2 bath Mountain View is simply 5 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge and even closer to trails and paths! Wake up to the mountains in BOTH bedrooms and end the day with gorgeous sunsets on the screened-in porch. Enjoy a simple day at home, explore the town, or head out for an adventure-filled day on the trails, rivers, or lake. Either way, you’re sure to enjoy it here!

Our 2 bed/2 bath cabin is tucked away in the mountains and surrounded by breathtaking views. If you aren’t spending your time inside relaxing, enjoy a soak in our hot-tub, or a bonfire with a view. Wood is provided! If you must, work in this clean space with great Wifi. The main deck is screened in with a gas firepit to be enjoyed 365 days/year, rain or shine. Step outside to the open-air portion of the deck to grill out or enjoy a beverage in the tall chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook a delicious meal. We supply the essentials like coffee K-cups, soap, shampoo, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry & dishwashing detergent, trash bags, and the other items listed in the amenities. You're also welcome to bring your own ground coffee, since the coffee maker is dual-purpose. Just bring food and drinks, and we take care of the rest!

Guest have full-house access, this includes access to our hot-tub on the bottom deck and firepit to the left of our property. Party lights help illuminate all the outside areas.

There is a $40 non-refundable pet fee upon booking. Limited to 2 dogs, no weight limit. Please keep pets off of ALL furniture. All pets must be approved in advance, fully potty-trained, and on current vaccines/flea medication.

We are in the woods, please keep this in mind. Do not leave any food outside or in cars as this may attract bears and other critters.

To reach the cabin, there is a 2-minute drive on a one-lane road, with part of it newly paved and part of it gravel. The road is steep in some sections but is completely accessible using any 2WD vehicle. The road runs parallel to Laurel Creek and does not have railings or streetlights; therefore, we recommend arriving in the daytime. Please consider the season/weather during your visit as this might affect road conditions.

Electricity and internet service may be intermittently disrupted during storms due to our location within the forest, otherwise service is fast and reliable. Power is usually restored within a few minutes.

Laurel Ridge Community is a shared community, some residents are home owners who live year round and others rent their cabins out, please be respectful of all. Quiet Hours in the neighborhood start at 10:00PM.

Additional rules
No smoking in or around the cabin. Smoking is permitted near the firepit.

One of a kind!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Hygge! The cabin was equipped with everything we needed and more, and so very comfortable. Mia and Ryan decorated for the holidays which made our stay that much more special for our two young children. And what a view! Easy drive up to the cabin and very convenient to downtown Blue Ridge. We’ll definitely be back!

Twelve Days In Heaven!

This property has a spectacular view first & foremost! Not many better! The master bed is extremely comfortable & the 2 different decks off the back are wonderful places to play or eat. While it was too hot to use the fireplace or firepits it would be really nice in the cooler months. Ryan & Mia were very responsive any time we had a question or concern. They were very pleasant to deal with. Don't hesitate to spend some time at this wonderful property!

Awesome stay

We really enjoyed our time at this little gem of a cabin. It was very nicely decorated, cozy and clean but what really made this cabin stand out were extra touches we kept discovering throughout our short 3 night stay. From welcome snack basket to soap, shampoo and conditioner in each bathroom, comfy mattress toppers and bedding, blankets and books on local hikes, complimentary K cups and creamer, toys and games for kids, down to individually wrapped pot scrubber (!) and so much more - Mia and Ryan really thought of everything. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and watching fireflies from the back porch and the hot tub seemed to be brand new. The cabin is 5 min or so from downtown Blue Ridge and the drive up here is not bad at all - partially paved and partially gravel. We even spotted couple of deer and a turkey with 2 babies while driving up. Cabin is very private yet not completely secluded (there are 3-4 cabins nearby). This was a very lovely stay and we will definitely be back!
