Amazing Time on the Lake

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a fantastic weekend of lounging on the dock, making food in the well stocked kitchen, and relaxing in nature at this amazing property! Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay on the lake! Plenty of space for our family and the outdoor shower was fabulous!

Cozy cabin

We LOVED our stay. Cozy, cool, everything we needed. The hosts were very communicative and it was the perfect getaway for our family. We look forward to a return trip soon.

Rustic Little Stay in the woods

Petite, very rustic cabin on lake. All the amenities you would need for a nice stay with touches of U of A charm in the woods. Liked the dock, fully stocked kitchen, soft towels and responsive management team.

Great quiet getaway!!!

We loved the really old cabin. It was decorated nicely, had all the amenities we needed, and was located in a secluded area along the water. We brought our dog and 3 children, and had an amazing time playing board games, watching movies, making s’mores around the campfire, and hanging out down on the dock fishing and kayaking. We even rented a boat for the day and had access to the property from the water. We would definitely stay again!!

We could not have been more delighted with the character, charm, and natural beauty of this little cabin on the water. Our kids enjoyed the bunkroom, fire pit, and kayaking on the lake. I loved the screened porch with cozy daybed. We found the house well stocked with coffee, pots, pans, dishes and cups. Book your stay here! You won't be disappointed.

Beautiful place

This property was tucked away on a wildlife preserve. Very quiet area with a lot of wildlife for observation. The house itself was very old (historic) but well kept. It had all the things you need to enjoy your stay without sacrifice. The property had everything you needed there already, I mean everything! We could have just pack clothing and traveled a lot lighter. A short walk to the pier offered fishing, swimming and kayaking. The surrounding area had everything needed. Shopping, dining and grocery stores were all within a twenty minute drive. With a slightly longer drive you could enjoy a number of beautiful lakes along with hiking trails. We had not one issue accommodating the dog in our everyday activities. We happened to arrive at the property just after a pretty devastating storm passed through. The host and owner (who lives nearby) were extremely accommodating in our every need during our stay. They truly went above and beyond any other property we have visited.

Wonderful Experience

Our family has such a great time here. The home is lovely with so much character. We had a great time fishing and kayaking on the lake. Perfect for our weekend getaway. The entire process was easy and stress free.

Graduation vacation!

We were in Tuscaloosa for my daughter's graduation. The highlight of the weekend was Buzzard's Roost! We had family over after graduation and enjoyed kayaking, had a bonfire, and the kids even swam. I cannot recommend this property enough! It was a slice of heaven on lake Tuscaloosa.
