My husband and I stayed with our son in the cottage and it was everything we needed. Great location, beautiful pool on the water, and just enough space.
The cottage was perfect, little pool, and use of laundry was just what we needed. There were a few things needing repair and had a visit from a cockroach one night, but other than that it was great!
This property was PERFECT for us and just what we wanted. We loved it was secluded and quiet and out of the way. We also loved the starry nights and beautiful sunrises. Management very easy to deal with. Read the property description and reviews you should get a good feel for what it is like staying there. Guess the best recommendation I can give is we plan to return
This is our second time at this property but first time in this unit. We absolutely love it here. The cottages have all the essentials, comfortable beds and are right on the water. We’re Floridians so we understand that you’re occasionally going to see an ant or something from outside inside but it’s because of the climate and not the cleanliness. Can’t wait to go back!
Great location, be careful pulling out onto the highway. The house is decent, you can tell it has weathered some major storms (floors are slanted and it doesnt seal up real well). Thermostat says dont go below 75 and AC was NOT keeping up with the outside temps. A bit warm at times. It does have access to a nice pool right at the edge of the water, property was quiet with just a few other respectful guests in the area. It was priced right for a short notice trip.

On arrival our lights weren’t working. Called manager.A handyman was sent. Breaker was tripped. He showed me how to reset it. It looked loose. He told me he told the owner previously that that unit was in need of an electrician. Half of the units floor was collapsing ( felt like a fun house). With in 1 hour it had tripped again. Went out to the breaker box and it felt extremely dangerous. Told manager. An electrician came and said it was dangerous and said we should not be there. Manager couldn’t move us till the next day! Put us in another accommodation that made it difficult to gather with the other people we came with. There was no light to walk up the 20 stairs (with loose rails) or any access for the disabled Both ovens didn’t work and cook top burners either didn’t work or only worked on hi. All the cookware was burnt and not useable. Toaster and toaster oven also didn’t work along with the blender and can opener One of the rooms had a VERY BAD smell of urine and mold.Exposed rusted rebar. Lamps were missing light bulbs. The BBQ grills on property had no propane. Old worn mattresses. Very uncomfortable
The cottage was perfect for me and my 3 kids. We loved the location being less than a 30min drive from both Key West and Marathon, and within 20min of several beaches. The kids took a dip in the private pool in the back everyday. Check-in process was seamless, and the rooms were perfectly climate controlled. We'll definitely stay again next time we're in the keys.
Quiet and off the beaten path, old school, old style Key’s homes, would stay again.

Palmer Stay
Overall the cabin is nice and well kept. It’s affordable and private. AC could only be set to lowest of 75 so if you prefer it colder at night might be too uncomfortable. Major con of the booking is the boat ramp/docks are nearly unusable unless you’re launching a kayak. There is no turn around area for boats to back into the ramp. There’s a giant concrete sculpture in the middle of a turn around. I had a 19ft boat and it was too big for me to turn around. Had to unhook the trailer and walk my boat. Also watched a guy with a smaller boat have to do the same thing. Theirs is a ramp close by (Blimp Road) but don’t plan on using the Air BnB. Pool was nice and clean. Pictures of room was a little mis lead as a lot of the houses were really dated. Other guest also complained about this. Overall decent private area to stay but definitely have to overcome a few obstacles for enjoyment.
Only issue was door knob was loose on back door and would not lock. I was able to work on knob and eventually get it to lock.Enjoyed the house and island! Made for an enjoyable trip.

Needs some tlc
It was OK ants all over the cupboards and got into our food. I had roaches in the bedroom could’ve been cleaner and needs a lot of TLC on the porch railings, but it did the job.
Cottages need to be upgraded. They are dated and yeah, have structural issues, but they are clean and it worked for me and my boys. We did have to leave 2 days early. Due to the fires, or we would be trapped there.Forever.
