Bubba's Cottage, Charming Oceanfront A-frame 2-min walk over dunes to beach

Charming oceanfront A-frame nestled in grove of trees at the end of a quiet street with views to the dunes. It's a short 2-minute walk down private path in front of the house over the dune to the beach. Versatile cottage for those who want to disconnect and relax (with a lot of options to entertain yourself and the kiddos), but also has upstairs work space with 24'' monitor for those who need to plug in while others are relaxing, exploring, or enjoying the beach.

This was the first house built on the street in 1965. It's a classic A-frame updated with modern amenities but also very much retaining it's classic charm, including the original Hotpoint Kitchenette brought from Ohio! Comfy, cozy, and interesting design.  A rare gem of a beach house in the OBX.

1st Floor:
Open living, dining, and kitchen area with a large dining table, game table, sectional, & a lounger w/ ottoman. Original Hotpoint kitchenette.  Master bedroom is on the main level along with bathroom with shower. 

2nd Floor:
Second level is reached via circular stairs & has hangout area with chaise lounge and poufs, bookshelf with books & games, record player, desk (with 24'' monitor), second bedroom, loft with twin bed, and half bath.  

Amenities include:
- outdoor shower on way to/from the beach; 
- outdoor grill;
 - 2 adult bicycle beach cruisers; 
- beach closet (w/ beach cart, beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach buckets/toys, corn hole, kids golf game); 
- fish cleaning table (& sand spikes for rods in beach closet);
 - laundry closet under house with washer/dryer; 
- yoga mat / blocks / strap / exercise bands;
 - USB charging stations next to beds; 
- iPhone, Android, micro-USB charging station in living room; 
- FM/AM radio with Bluetooth capability; 
- record player and records; books; board games, card games, puzzles, kids' games;
 - 2 Roku TVs (1 TV in living room with cable; 1 TV in upstairs bedroom that connects to apps via wifi);
- Nintendo entertainment system (classic edition with 30 games);
- desk with 24'' computer monitor (with HDMI to HDMI cable to connect to your laptop);
- we provide bed linens and bath towels.  You need to bring your own beach and kitchen towels;
- parking for 2 cars.  

As is typical of OBX houses, the cottage is raised and accessed via 11 steps to the front porch / first floor.

Great Family Vacation to OBX. Family of three with an 11 yr old stayed a week in July and could not asked for a better first trip to the Outer Banks. The cottage was very cozy and plenty of room for the three of us. Has everything you need to relax for a dinner in or close to surrounding that are not tourist. Great location and a short walk up the dunes to the beach where you can be in your own on the beach. Overall Great Stay!!

Awesome Family Getaway

We DIDN’T want to leave!!!! My family had an amazing time. We explored the beaches, we enjoyed the area, grilled outside, walked the beach at night…it was exactly the peacefulness we needed. We plan on making this a definite ‘go to’ for our family vacations! The owners were very communicative and extremely accommodating. Simply a great time!!

Bubbas Cottage was just as advertised. Very cozy, quiet, safe neighborhood and the cottage cleanliness was top notch. The access to the beach was amazing and we were so thankful for all the beach accessories at the cottage! Would definitely recommend and come back to this location and cottage!

Wonderful Spot!

We stayed here for a few days and absolutely loved our time here! The beach was just a few minutes walk away and it was a great spot and not overly crowded. The house itself was so charming, clean and had everything we needed. It was the perfect space to land in after exploring the area. We are already looking forward to coming back!

Perfect little get away

Bubba’s cottage is unique and adorable. We had a wonderful stay. The hosts were great with communication and the house is meticulously outfitted with everything you need to cook, relax with family and head to the beach. The location is great- just a two minute walk over the dunes to the beach. We especially loved the outdoor shower and full size laundry available to use. We would def recommend staying here!

Tranquil Cottage

The perfect secluded place for relaxation but still an easy drive to the activities and restaurants on the island. The decor is super cute, it had everything we needed and was unbelievably quiet. The beach was just a short walk over the dune and there were hardly any other people. The beach chairs were greatly appreciated. We had a fun playing the video games at night and listening to old albums in the evenings. Sara was super responsive and helpful to our questions. This was the most relaxing trip we have experienced in many years!

Charming A-frame cottage in superb location

We had a fabulous mini break at Lang Cottage. It is cozy and comfortable and has everything you need for a great stay at the beach. The (well-equipped) kitchen is a vintage delight! Beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are compact but function well. The cottage is set just behind the beach dunes and is a very short stroll to the beautiful beach. Lots of games and books to entertain. Hosts were very responsive with any queries during our stay. Highly recommend :)

BEST LOCATION IN THE OUTER BANKS!

We had a wonderful time at Sara & Barrett beautiful beach house. It was really unique, quirky & retro all in one! You felt like you were waking up in a tree house in the top bedroom! We drove around the Outer Banks as far as Kitty Hawks to the North & Buxton to the South, and Salvo was genuinely the nicest part with such a beautiful beach. We couldn’t believe how uncrowded it was in August!! Sara was so helpful and gave lots of recommendations. 😊 we had takeout from Boardwok & Lisa’s Pizeria & ate out at Good Winds and a bit further north at Kills Devil Grill (which is so worth the drive!) after horse riding in Nags Head. Thank you again for having us, we had the best time and just wish we had stayed longer! 😊

My boyfriend and I stayed a week here and wish we never had to leave. The house was overall clean just not detailed cleaned like shelves & corners but while I waited for him to wake up I took care of those items I needed clean before I used them to place my stuff. Everything about this property was amazing, only thing that would make it better would be not being next to the public access trail to the beach since we aren’t really people persons, but we made it work. The house had an item I wanted for my own home, so I asked the owner where they got it and I was able to purchase the same one and bring it home with me! Communication with the host was always answered in a timely manner and rules were fair and understandable! I would 10/10 recommend this property
