Mountain getaway
Loved this house! Perfect for us. It's the first time we had plenty of towels at any VRBO! Was easily negotiable for our son with a wheelchair.

Absolutely delightful!
Absolutely delightful! Rarely have I returned from a trip and been excited (or even thought about) writing a review. This trip I did! I wanted to write a review of this VRBO because I knew how much time I spent looking for just the “right” place for our group to have an enjoyable time and how I wondered before the trip if I had picked a good option…we did! Let me share what we LOVED about this VRBO! 1. Lovely interior! So beautifully decorated. And CLEAN! As soon as we walked in, everyone in our group made a comment about how pretty the VRBO was. It was clean, clean, clean. Lots of white so it was also bright, cheerful (and I appreciated the candles with the “relax” label reminding me it’s vacation time!). 2. Spacious, with areas inside and outside for comfortable “chill” time, that gave a lot of variety of space. Three areas on the outside porch/deck areas that are each unique and allowed us individual conversations, with comfy chairs (some that sway/rock). I’m so glad we didn’t miss the bench along the creek across the road! It was great place to recharge. Our late afternoon coffee listening to the little stream gave us a boost of energy. I will say my one regret is we didn’t take time for a soak in the deep tub and use the bathtub tray (you'll have to see it) for beverage, snack and episode of favorite show on phone. 3. A kitchen where you can really, really cook…with all the supplies needed (rolling pin, mixer, pans, pots, very cool toaster/broiler on countertop, many mixing bowls, tea kettle, coffee pot for all or a selection for one, you name it, we had all the items we need to really cook!) And the kitchen had ROOM to cook. Easy to move around the kitchen (as well as a few stools for those who are the official “samplers”). We had fun in the kitchen together making new creations in the evening! 4. So close to so many trailheads…and restaurants. We had not been to the Linville area before, and we really wanted a VRBO that we didn’t have to drive a long way to trailheads. We wanted to do morning hikes and then return to regroup and then do afternoon hikes. This was a perfect place! So many other things that we loved …. like the BIG clock, the showers, the space to do our stretches after hiking, the front door lock (easy and secure), very responsive owner to our pre-trip small questions about the area…and all the little amenities that we discovered during our stay. Highly recommend!
