This rustic log cabin sits on 12 private acres within 5 miles from Angel Fire Resort and minutes to ski the Enchanted Circle by skiing Red River and Taos as well. Now with high-speed fiber optic internet, you have everything you need: kitchenette with bar island, small gas range, 1 premium luxury king bed with 50" flat screen TV and seating area, wood stove, heater, bathroom with shower, 2nd room has 1 set of queen bunks, washer and dryer. Experience beautiful mountain views and enjoy the front porch with rocking chairs. By the way, don’t be surprised to see a herd of around 60 to 200 Elk that just love to hang out on the 12 acres and surrounding areas. The length of right side of property connects to state land. RV Hookup available! To book entire property of Legends Cabin and main house Legendary Trails End Ranch you will need to book listing # 2428426. ***Please take note that the main house is about 200 feet from cabin, but privacy fence was installed in 2019 ***4-wheel drive recommended for winter travel.

Amazing Views- Beautiful Ranch!

Celebrated our 31st Anniversary weekend at this beautiful place! Quiet, secluded but close to town too! Kerri was wonderful and made arrangements for us to stay even though it was last minute. The bunkhouse was cozy and had everything we needed. We will be back! Thanks Kerri for your kindness and allowing us the opportunity to enjoy such a cool place! We loved it!

The cabin was cozy and cutely decorated. We brought breakfast, lunch and snack food, but had everything we needed. Most of New Mexico’s restaurants are currently take-out only, so be prepared to eat outside or take it back to the Trails End cabin. The snowy mountain scenery was spectacular

We spent several days at the cabin in June, and really enjoyed the area’s beauty. The king size bed, sad to say, has had too many birthdays. Otherwise, the cabin was a wonderful getaway place.

Cozy Mountain Retreat

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The location is wonderful. We saw deer, elk, a bobcat, rabbits, prairie dogs, chipmunks, a hawk, bluebirds, and hummingbirds. The mountains, beautiful skies, and wildflowers were gorgeous. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. There was one close neighbor, but they were quiet. There was a small privacy fence dividing the properties.

Small but so cozy

The owner, Karen, is wonderful to work with. The communication was great. The cabin is small and older but it was perfect for us. It’s tucked away from any crowds or other cabins and very isolated which we loved. We took our side by side Ranger and found trails to ride and also trailered to Red River and rode in the mountains there. The area is absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend for 2 people looking for a private get a way.

Our Best Family Vacation Yet!

We absolutely LOVED staying at Karen's cabin. It is the perfect size for our family of 4. Very clean and organized. The heaters work so well and we slept like babies each night in the comfy beds. Karen was always available when we texted her with questions leading up to our stay, The grounds and neighborhood were picturesque. Karen had a folder in the cabin with suggestions for food, etc. in Angel Fire as well as close by Taos and Santa Fe. We loved it so much and had such an amazing experience. We definitely plan to stay there next time we go to Angel Fire!

Cozy Cabin Stay

This was our first trip to Angel Fire and we loved it! Karen's cozy cabin was perfect for our family of 4 and our little Shih Tzu. We had all the comforts of home! My husband built a fire in the fireplace every evening and we cooked dinner at the cabin each night. It snowed almost every day and the mountain scenery was beautiful. Our SUV handled the snowy roads just fine in 4 wheel drive. Communication with Karen was excellent. Thank you for a memorable and wonderful stay!

Absolutely adorable, well maintained, pet and kid friendly cabin in the perfect mountain setting. Isolated and quiet, but still close to town. Abundant wildlife—black bear, wild turkeys, deer, prairie dogs, bunnies and chipmunks. Stunning views! Sit on the porch and enjoy a beautiful mountain sunset. Well stocked kitchen and washer dryer to boot! Internet/Wi-Fi connection was excellent (I teleworked part time). KK was an amazing and responsive host. We can’t wait to go back!

Great cabin for large group

We spent a family retreat here with a large group and loved the feel and size of the home. The cabin you can rent 50 yards away with it is just the perfect combination to fit everyone. The seclusion was perfect for reconnecting without worrying about neighbors. The kids enjoyed sledding down the front drive way and the adults enjoyed watching from the large front deck. The sunroom shows the beautiful views and we were lucky enough to sit by the fire and watch the snow fall. The owner is very prompt with answering questions and was very kind and welcoming to our large family. We will definitely make this a return destination.

Why they chose this property

We have been coming to Angel Fire for the beauty and scenery combined with year-round activities forever but it remains small and private with the convenience of larger cities nearby and without the prices of our neighboring Colorado resorts. Drivable from all surrounding states so you can bypass the airports if you desire, making it so much more affordable for the couple with 6 kids!

This family homestead is less than a mile from where scenes were filmed meant to depict the beauty of Montana in the world famous movie, Lonesome Dove. It seems remote without being so (has high speed fiberoptic!) and is fairly easy to drive to. The beauty of this property is truly magnificent and does remind me of Montana. Looking at the views of Wheeler Peak in the background, I am reminded of scenes from the John Wayne movie Grit and I wouldn't be too surprised to see John Wayne or Glen Campbell come riding up to the fence! As a matter of fact, our location is perfect for privacy, we host many VIP's and are happy to sign a NDA for your peace of mind.

The sound of the wind whispering in the trees is probably what creates the great healing energy many people have mentioned. The Vintage ranch truck is great for photos!! I will have it lit up and decorated for the holidays! This ranch has been home to special events for over 100 people, weddings, Holiday parties and social functions for the people of the area.
