About this property

Koronida Lodge at The Lodges at Eagles Nest

Koronida Lodge at The Lodges at Eagles Nest in Banner Elk, NC. The Greek translation of the word Koronida is Crown, as in Crown Jewel. For a home this gorgeous, within the High Country's most stunning resort community, Crown Jewel is a very appropriate description. Resting on a spacious 1.81 acres at 3,800 feet of elevation, the home offers 5 Bedrooms/4 Baths in over 4,300 square feet of heated space, with an additional 2,000+ feet of outdoor deck space for taking in the cool summertime air and mountain views.

Koronida Lodge features a large great room that flows seamlessly into the fully stocked kitchen and dining area, and then out to a covered outdoor dining area on the large main level deck. Maple hardwood floors throughout the main living area are paired with the stacked river rock, flagstone and reclaimed barn wood of the floor-to-ceiling gas fireplace, all framed by Nickle Gap Tongue and Groove White Pine cathedral ceilings overlooking. Exquisite granite counters and top of the line appliances make for an impressive yet very comfortable kitchen, perfect for entertaining. If the weather is less than perfect, curl up in front of one of the 5 Smart TVs in the house and enjoy your favorite shows!

The main level of Koronida Lodge offers a master suite as well as a guest bedroom and cozy bunk room. Just up the spiral staircase there is an additional master suite. The downstairs area features a casual den and game room, as well as an additional guest bed and full bath. Step out to another large deck and take in the sounds of nature, breathaking mountain views, and cool mountain air. The two-car garage is also available for use, a great convenience for the winter months.

The Lodges at Eagles Nest is a world-class 3,000+ acre master-planned development with altitudes over 5,200 feet framed by spectacular 360-degree mountain views as far as the eye can see. The natural features of the property include acres upon acres of undeveloped green space and pastures, rushing streams, waterfalls, massive boulder formations, abundant wildlife and much more.

The Koronida Lodge at The Lodges at Eagles Nest is located just minutes from the charming town of Banner Elk. Featuring a wide variety of noted gourmet restaurants and excellent specialty and upscale boutiques, Banner Elk is a destination all its own. Here each season brings with it something spectacular, from our cool air and outdoor activities in the summer, to our incredible fall foliage, to great skiing during the winter. Banner Elk is also home to Lees-McRae College and its wonderful summer theater program, as well as numerous athletic events for spectators throughout the year.

Beautiful Home
We loved everything about this home. It’s stunning and so well equipped. The location is perfect, it’s so spacious, extremely clean, the decks are wonderful, and the kitchen is fantastic. This was the most wonderful kitchen for making Christmas dinner for our family this year. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home.

Fun at Eagles Nest
Great location. Beautiful views. Appreciated late check out due to weather but not needed. Suggestions for house. Need lamps in bedrooms. Chairs in bedrooms. When going to winery the back gate code would be appreciated. Kitchen was great but needs some new cookie sheet pans. Extra hooks in bedrooms as no closets to hang clothes. Thank you. We want to return next year to Eagles Nest.

Beautiful Place to Stay
We booked for Christmas - our immediate family of 11 people. The weather was very, very cold with lots of snow. The home was beautiful, spacious, and very clean. But, upon arrival, we could not get in - the front door lock was frozen. It was difficult to reach anyone to help us get in (the phone system takes you through a series of long maze options). Finally got in - heat was set to 45 degrees, the home was freezing cold and we had 3 toddlers. Then the power went out, no flashlights at the house (and we didn't think to pack any). Maintenance had to be called (again) to reset the heat after the power came back on. Then it warmed up and was lovely except for the basement bathroom, sink and toilet were not working. We called maintenance again on Day 2, no one ever called or showed up to fix. My son - who was staying in that bedroom, repaired the sink and the toilet. Never heard from maintenance or anyone else. All in all it is a lovely home and we had a great stay. We thought that it was too difficult to get assistance from the property management company (I know it was Christmas and that could have been the reason).
