Quaint property with big amenities
Loved the area, community trails were fun, house was so comfortable - blankets, pillows, towels. Kitchen was stocked with dishes, appliances, cook and bake wares, spices - we had everything we needed. Periodic check ins from the home owners were welcome. Bonus- white squirrels can be spottet on the lake walk.

Mountain Escape for the Christmas weekend.
Great place for our age group (30-85) and very dog friendly. I wish I could give 6 stars for check in and host responsiveness. Rained for our entire stay, but the home was well equipped to keep us entertained while stuck inside. Loved the collection of vinyl and the fireplace. Super comfortable beds!

We had a wonderful stay!
Couldn’t say enough good things about this property. The neighborhood is stunning. We enjoyed hiking the neighborhood trails, the lakes are crystal clear, we enjoyed lunch at the clubhouse, and had a really great stay. The house was cozy and the furniture is comfortable. The host, Debi is fantastic! She is so accommodating and made us feel very welcomed. Best host I’ve ever had. Would love to come back again!

Perfect Stay!
I'm not big on writing reviews, but we had such a perfect stay here. Everything was comfortable, easy to use and had a cozy retro personality to it. Sit on top kayaks available for use was fantastic for my fishing obsessesed husband and my bum knee :)

About the host

This is house been in my family (Debi's) since 1976. It was one of the first homes on Lake Wanteska in the very beginning of the development of Connestee Falls. I have been coming here since I was a kid and have many many fond memories of being on this lake and sharing time with family. When my dad passed away, my sister and I inherited the house and we recently bought her share and began the much needed renovations. We've done a lot to keep the house from just falling down...encapsulated the crawlspace, dug out 45 year old mountain laurels in front that had caused many moisture issues and regraded and added a couple of drains. The house had never had A/C, so we put the mini split units in that also heat the house. The original heat was radiant ceiling heat. New gutters on the front and new light fixtures throughout the house and new carpet, rugs. etc. We still have a way to go, but we feel like this home has great bones and is a cozy place to just get away from it all. We look forward to sharing our house while completing the renovations. We are happy that because of you, we are able to keep it in our family.

Why they chose this property

Connestee Falls is a unique gated mountain community with amenities galore. Not only will you have access to our private dock on Lake Wanteska, but there are 2 other lakes you can also access. There are 19 miles of amazing hiking trails within the community which feel private the majority of the time. You can also access tennis, pickleball and bocce ball. There is also an 18 hole golf course and a club house with dining. We are close to downtown Brevard, Dupont forest and Pisgah forest. Lots of hiking, fishing and mountain biking are close by. Asheville is only 1 hour away.

What makes this property unique

The lake on which this property sits is one of the most beautiful serene lakes around. (In my opinion) It is small and very serene....a perfect place just to relax.
