Gîte des Prés de Valfin

In the heart of the Haut Jura Regional Nature Park, the small hamlet of Prés de Valfin at an altitude of 870 m. is nestled in a green setting rich in biodiversity.
Many hiking routes are possible from the house. And all nature lovers will be amazed by the wild aspect of this valley.
You can meet up with friends or family in our warm house.
Noisy parties are not allowed. No noise after 10 p.m. 4 parking spaces.

The spacious and pleasant house (180 m2) can accommodate up to 10 people. (Possibility of 2 additional beds in sofa bed in closed living room on the ground floor). We do not accept large gatherings of people in the house.
It is composed of a large bright room (kitchen/living room) with French doors leading to a small wooden terrace. Also on the ground floor, you will have a large entrance hall, a cellar with plenty of storage space, a closed TV lounge, and a toilet.
Upstairs, you will find 4 bedrooms, 1 large bathroom and 1 separate toilet.

Internet access, wifi with weak ADSL connection.

PGJyPgCleaning is to be done before your departure (products are provided) unless you opt for the cleaning package at 120€ (please indicate this when you make your reservation). Sheets are not provided under any circumstances.

The cottage is located at an altitude of 850 metres and it is essential to have snow tyres (or failing that, chains) from November to April to access the hamlet of Prés de Valfin. It is 12 kms from the small town of St Claude which has all amenities and shops. Supermarket / bakery 6kms away in Les Piards.
Cross-country ski trails 6 kms away on the Nanchez site - Les Piards and downhill ski slopes in Les Rousses 45 min.

The house is located in the centre of the hamlet. We care about our area and do not accept noisy parties or noise outside after 10 p.m. There are only 4 parking spaces and it is not possible to park with the neighbours or in the fields under penalty of having the car taken away.

We are not on site and it is JP who welcomes you to the house. However, we are always available by phone to answer your questions and help you prepare your stay.
