About this property

Le Mâconnais - CERSOT - Gîte

Doyenne of the members of the "Gîtes de France" network of Saône-et-Loire (labeled since 1979!), Marie-Françoise welcomes you to an authentic traditional 19th century farmhouse, fully renovated and revisited as a gentle holiday resort, nestled in a residential hamlet perched on an exposed hill, overlooking the historic heart of the village nestled a stone's throw away. A small town typical of the Côte Chalonnaise composed of various scattered hamlets, nestled in the hollow of the verdant Guye valley, in a classified and protected area in ZNIEFF for its fauna and flora riches, Cersot benefits from a magnificent rolling countryside, mixing agriculture and viticulture as well as nature (to explore the surroundings during relaxing walks or mountain bike rides), a succession of bucolic vineyard hillsides, vast meadows, wooded hills, ponds and rivers and beautiful wild forests. Spacious, comfortable gîte. Beautiful volumes. Warm country character with contemporary touches mixed with the exotic soul of an old residence (preservation of the rich traces of the original building: molded doors & frames, wall cupboards, fireplace mantel, etc.). A slightly "vintage" atmosphere (including a superb "fifties" floor on the kitchen side), in the spirit of a sweet "family home". Pleasant enclosed garden (300m²), surrounded by historic stone walls, including the owners' vegetable garden (discreet & not very present to cultivate it / picking fresh seasonal vegetables possible) with a shaded garden lounge area under a beautiful acacia tree. Composition: Gîte adjoining the owners' home (total independence without vis-à-vis). Gas central heating. Wifi. Raised ground floor (5 steps): kitchen, living room (double sofa bed 140x190cm as an extra), 2 bedrooms (double bed 140x190cm / 2 single beds 90x190cm + double bed 140x190cm), bathroom (shower), separate toilet. Shared enclosed garden (300m²). Private parking + bicycle storage. Shops including supermarkets 7 km away. Authentic traditional farmhouse dating from the 19th century, fully renovated - with a pleasant enclosed garden of 300m² - located in the heart of the gentle, hilly Chalonnaise wine-growing countryside in a residential hamlet, 7 km from the charming market town of Buxy (many amenities on site including a supermarket). Bucolic landscaped setting around, mixing agriculture & viticulture as well as nature, nestled in the hollow of the verdant Guye valley (partly protected in "Natura 2000 Zone" & "ZNIEFF" for its rich ecosystems), adjoining the sublime Vaux valley ("the little Chalonnaise Switzerland"), at the crossroads of the Côtes Chalonnaises & Haut Mâconnais vineyards. Ultra-privileged location on the GR7 & GR76 routes (at the junction of the two routes), the "Route des Grands Vins" (which is extended by the illustrious "Route des Grands Crus" crossing the legendary wine villages of Puligny-Montrachet, Pommard, Meursault, etc.), the circuit of Romanesque churches, a marked "green walk" hiking trail (very rich network of hiking trails of the same type, winding between vineyards & nature, to be explored on foot or by mountain bike in the area), 7 km from the Green Way of the "Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud", 8 km from a marked cycle route connected to Eurovélo6 (along the famous Canal du Centre) as well as to the "Tour de Bourgogne à Vélo", very close to two "Coup de cœur cycle loops" referenced 14 & 26 km (accessible within a radius of around ten km including the first at 4.5 km), 12 km from the famous Canal du Centre ("Le Fleuve tranquille", navigable route to discover during a boat trip or on foot / river marina at 23 km). Central location of choice at the crossroads of Couchois & the famous world-renowned vineyards of Côtes de Beaune & Hautes Côtes de Beaune, at the crossroads of Côte d'Or & Pays Beaunois, at the crossroads of Charolais-Brionnais (labeled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), Mâconnais, Tournugeois-Clunisois (labeled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire") & Autunois-Morvan. Ideal for exploring: 14 km from Saint-Gengoux-le-National (labeled "Cities of Character of Burgundy-Franche-Comté"), 14 km from the medieval wine-growing town of Givry, 18 km from the medieval town of Mont-Saint-Vincent (one of the most beautiful sites in Burgundy with a literally unique 360° panoramic "belvedere"), 21 km from Le Creusot (renowned Combes amusement park / Le Creusot TGV station 15 km away), 23 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (labeled "Town of Art and History"), 35 km from Tournus, 46 km from Charolles, 48 km from Autun (labeled "Town of Art and History", rich in inestimable heritage covering more than 2000 years of human presence) & 53 km from Beaune. A pleasant and exotic "pied-à-terre" with old-world charm to recharge your batteries with family or friends!
