Better upkeep of property
I rented the unit because it was supposed to be a 3 bedroom.
1. The master suite ( one with king bed) did not have a door. There was only a sheet separating the common living room from bedroom. This left no privacy for people in this room ( supposedly bedroom). The bed frame in the supposedly master bedroom was broken. Had to pull top mattress off and sleep on it in the living room floor. I notified the owner and she basically stated she already knew about it and had the parts ordered. So she rented an apartment as a 3 bedroom with the bed support frame broken.
2.The 3rd ( twin bedroom) had so many drafts it was too cold for my daughter to sleep in so she slept on the couch. It was a blizzard outside so understandable the room was cold but shouldn’t be so cold she couldn’t sleep in it.
3. When we initially arrived the bathroom door had to be lifted to shut it. I was able to tighten the hinges enough to get it to close. The screws in the door hinge were stripped so the fix won’t last too long.
4. The lights in n the kitchen was burned out when we arrived. I notified the owner and they did replace the light bulbs.
5. I reached out to the owner and asked if there is a possibility to get a partial discount ( refund) because of all the issues my family encountered with this rental. As of now I have not heard back from the owner, Michelle. I feel the apartment did not meet the expectations depicted in the advertisement. I will not rent this unit or any other property owed or operated by this owner.
