About this property

Gîtes de France® - La Maison Blanche

Spacious holiday rental for 15 people in the Seine Valley. The Manoir des Roques, also known as the Maison Blanche, is one of the oldest estates in Villequier. Built in the 15th century, the estate was owned by shipowners in the 16th century and later by Georges Binet, a Post-Impressionist painter in the 20th century. Ideally located between Rouen and Le Havre, set amid a 5,000 m² park, this holiday rental offers a magnificent view of the Seine. The house has retained its authentic Renaissance charm, with large rooms furnished in the “château” style, bedrooms decorated in a romantic style, stone spiral staircases, and a 150-square-meter cellar equipped for small events. It’s the perfect place to gather with family or friends. There are a wide variety of activities right nearby: - for history buffs: the Victor Hugo Museum, the Maritime Museum, the Roman theatre in Lillebonne, and the abbeys… - For sports enthusiasts: road biking, numerous hiking trails, a canoe club on the Seine, tennis, and a swimming pool just a 5-minute bike ride away - For food lovers: many restaurants along the Seine, farmers’ markets to explore, and shops just a 5-minute drive away. Please note: this holiday rental is not all-inclusive; some options incur additional charges. Ground floor: - entry into the kitchen (refrigerator/freezer, range, dishwasher, microwave), - living room/dining room, - office with pool table; 1st floor: - half-bath, - bedroom: 4 bunk beds (90x190 cm), connected to a private bathroom (shower, sink) and a laundry room (washing machine, dryer), - bedroom: 1 double bed (140x190 cm), with a private bathroom (bathtub, 1 sink), - bedroom: 1 double bed (160x200 cm) with a freestanding bathtub, sink, and toilet; 2nd floor: - bedroom: 1 double bed (140x190 cm), alcove with 1 "child-sized" bed (80x190 cm), bathroom: shower, sink, - small apartment: living room with decorative fireplace, kitchenette (sink, refrigerator, microwave, 2 electric burners), bathroom: shower, sink, access from the living room to a mezzanine with a small sitting area leading to an attic bedroom: 1 double bed (140x190 cm), then behind the living room, a bedroom with 1 double bed (140x190 cm) with a canopy
