Fantastic for big families
To be honest, I came in with lower expectations due to some of the previous reviews but I have to say, it was a 10+ experience. Everything was clean and functional. We really loved that a big family like ours were able to stay in a cozy place like this together. We played with all the games that were provided (both video and board), enjoyed the jacuzzi, ate together in the big dining table. We also loved that it was across the street from a park that was so large with lots to play with for both kids and adults. There was also a dog park which was perfect for our furry friend. All in all, we would love to go back. Highly recommend it. Parking is a tight squeeze so when they say 2 cars, it truly is for 2 sedan size cars.

Great Home Away from Big Bear City with some Exceptions
Just FYI, this property is about 5 miles from any of the activities in the main city of Big Bear, CA. It was a nice stay, but the start kind of ruined a lot of the fun. This home invited both of our dogs which was super nice, but also proclaimed having a electric vehicle charger for guest use. We brought our Tesla because of this fact. When we arrived we learned that the charging outlet was locked with a combination padlock. I inquired both with Vacasa over text message and via phone call. They both mentioned they would get in contact with the owner for the specific combination (Vacasa had me try all kinds of different combinations that ended up being a waste of time). Over the two nights we stayed here Vacasa never once reached back out to us with the combination. I ended up having to make a trip back down to the supercharging location at Highland to make sure my wife was not stressed over the lack of range we had on the vehicle. Definitely did not make the start of the trip anxiety free, but then again this is a specific situation and I feel like others may not have the same issue. Other than the lack of EV charging the stay was actually very positive. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of silverware, plates, and cups. They also have a new washer and dryer unit in the home which made it nice to be able to wash clothes before we left. The owner has two air filters and ceiling fans (one on the first floor and the other on the second level) that push out a decent amount of air. Although there was no actually AC unit we were very comfortable throughout our stay. My wife especially made use of the fireplace on both levels. The jacuzzi in the backyard was great and performed well for our stay (definitely was another selling point for us). The neighborhood was quiet and right across the street from a park where we took our dogs out to play. There is a small dog park across the way which added to the experience. The two parking spots are tight, but do allow for two vehicles. The main attraction was definitely going into the town to explore. It was opening weekend for the 50th Annual Oktoberfest which we were surprised about initially. We did not go solely for this event, but it ended up being a nice place to enjoy time with the family and listen to the "absurd" adapted songs. We also enjoyed walking around the Village shops near downtown Big Bear which had a lot of interesting stores with souvenirs. The restaurants were all very nice and the staff were very comforting and hospitable. If you go to shop make sure to check prices at multiple locations as occasionally different shops have the same items but for cheaper. We will definitely be back, but next time we would probably stay closer to the downtown where we were able to make most out of the trip. Also I would probably consider double checking certain aspects in the Vacasa posting before arriving as we expected to charge the car when we got to the house, and definitely learned our lesson for future stays based on the lack of follow-up from Vacasa/homeowner.

Awesome House
We enjoyed our stay at Cedar House. It was spacious and had everything we needed. The local staff were very helpful and prompt with our questions and requests. The location is good, but lacked the "woodsy" experience we were looking for since it's right next to a main road with frequent traffic and very close to the neighbors. Surprisingly everything in the house worked (heat, jacuzzi, games etc.), which has been rare with places we've stayed in big bear. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies, however you may want to bring a good pan and knife of your own if you're going to be cooking. We also had to wash the dishes before using them since they were food remnants left on everything. The house could be cleaned a little better, but wasn't horrible compared to other places we've stayed nearby. The beds were comfortable and the games were nice to have. Overall I would recommend.
