‘TipSea Turtle’ is a newly refurbished home-away-from-home Island Retreat! This home is conveniently located in the heart of the island within walking distance to the Beach, Dining, Shopping, and Entertainment. Two-Story, 4-bedroom, 2 bath home with extensive outdoor entertainment space and expansive front porch. Enjoy the best beaches (0.3 miles), award winning dining, and the Pleasure Pier (0.9 miles), all within walking distance or short car ride.

The first-floor master bedroom features a comfortable queen bed with a 13.5 inch mattress dressed in linens. The bedroom also contains a Smart TV, closet, and ensuite bathroom, including a large walk-in shower with a rainfall shower head and handheld sprayer combo. Premium, spa-like Towels provided.

Second floor guests have an abundance of accommodation options, including a spacious bunkroom, with a full-over-full bunk bed, which sleeps four guests comfortably. The additional trundle bed allows for sleeping arrangement expansion. The second bedroom features a King bed with a luxury 12” mattress and dressed linens, a flat screen Smart TV, dresser and closet. Additionally, there is a third bedroom on the second floor, with a comfortable queen bed, 12” mattress, Smart TV, Chest and closet. All beds with high-quality, memory foam mattress. Second floor guests Enjoy a full bathroom with marble tile surround.

A Pack & Play is available in 2nd floor bedroom closet.

The Kitchen is sure to please any chef! Stainless steel appliances, full-size refrigerator, ice maker, water dispenser and cookware for making delicious meals is only a few of the charming options this kitchen has to offer. The kitchen also includes a Ninja Coffee Maker, Blender & Toaster, amongst other amenities.

When not exploring the beaches and what the island has to offer in entertainment (restaurants/bars, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, The Docks, The ‘Strand’, The Pier), the living space boasts a comfortable genuine-leather sofa and seating for entertaining friends or family, along with a 65” 4K Smart TV.

In the Backyard, guests will enjoy a firepit and lighted custom deck space for entertaining. In the enclosed storage shed, you will find everything needed for an enjoyable day at the beach. This includes a wagon, rolling cooler, boogie boards, beach toys and beach chairs for easy transport back and forth.

Guest Access

Parking for vehicles is located in the back of the home in a private, enclosed garage and driveway. There is also room for one vehicle in the front of the house. This allows easy access to your vehicles when you’re ready to explore everything Galveston has to offer!

Location was perfect, everything was just a few minutes away, beach, stores, restaurants and entertainment. It was a great place for the family with plenty of space for comfort. The bunk bed room was great for the kids and every room had a tv. Small yard that was perfect for dog and the kids to play in. Enjoyed the stay!

Nice house for 4 couples. House was cozy and comfortable. We had trouble with the water heater the first night/day and had to take cold showers (not fun!), but the host was quick to call the plumber and got the issue fixed promptly.

The house nicely met our needs - kids, 4 grandchildren and our dogs - with the bunkbeds and fenced yard. The location was good too with being 5 minutes or so to the beach and to the Strand. We enjoyed our stay.

We’re a family of 6 plus dogs that usually has a hard time finding something everyone likes. We had plenty of room and the location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. The beds were comfy and loved having a tv in all the rooms. The shower in the downstairs room is AMAZING!!

Weekend in Galveston

Great location just a few blocks from the seawall. Condition of the house was great and the backyard was great with a wood fire pit. It was very close to the historic house district and the Strand. There are a few great breweries in Galveston that you have to check out we spent time in the backyard around the fire pit and you could hear the Golf. There is a great little corner store probably a half a block away. The lady works there was super nice and you can get all your basics there if you forget anything. It was a great base location.

Family Mardi Gras Weekend!

We had a great weekend enjoying Mardi Gras and staying at this property. Perfect location for accessing the beach, restaurants and The Strand. We had six adults and three kids, the house was the perfect size and set up, everyone had a bed and a room. House was clean and well-kept and the property manager was very responsive. Thanks for having us!

Loved the updates throughout the house. It was a perfect size for us. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Great communication with the host. Bonus to have parking off the Main Street. Will definitely rebook when we come back to Galveston.

Cozy house, great location

The house is nice with an updated kitchen and downstairs bathroom. It was comfortable for our family of 6 and we loved that it was pet friendly. Good front porch and backyard area. I’m not sure it would be comfortable for 11 people - it’s pretty compact and the bathroom upstairs is small. But, overall it was light and airy and clean. Fantastic location - quick walk to the beach and not far from Pleasure Pier. Conveniently located to lots of bars, restaurants and activities. The host was very attentive and easy to communicate with. We would stay again!

Misleading photos and Cleanliness concerns

I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but I felt this was important for future guests. Unfortunately, this property did not match what was advertised on the listing.When we arrived, the place was clearly an older beat up house. Some things just seemed like they were half-prepped such as provided adequate necessities for a listing for 8 guests. It felt more like an empty shell than a vacation rental — where we had to buy a few of our own essentials such as cooking oil, paper towels, shampoo. The photos and description gave the impression that it would be stocked and ready for guests, but it clearly wasn’t.In addition, we encountered serious cleanliness issues. There were visible rodent droppings in the kitchen, and we saw cockroaches in the bedroom and bathroom during our stay. This made it very difficult to feel comfortable in the space.For the price we paid, we expected at least the minimum comforts and a little more care in preparing the space.This could be a decent spot if properly managed, but as it stands now, it’s just not guest-ready. I would not recommend booking unless the listing is updated and more accurate to the actual condition of the place.

So many positives about this place, where to begin? The house is conveniently located within walking distance to the beach, and many of the items you want for the beach are provided (e.g., wagon, chairs, boogey boards, inflatables, sand toys). We didn't go to Pleasure Pier, but it's definitely walkable. It is a short drive to The Strand/Pier 21/the ferry and a little longer to Moody Gardens. It is very conveniently located, and the off-street parking, to include a single car garage, is definitely a bonus. The actual accommodations leave nothing to be desired (e.g., comfortable beds, smart tvs in every bedroom, full-size washer/dryer, on-demand water heater, etc.). It has an outdoor seating area and grill, neither of which we used, but the fact that they were available deserves recognition. Also, the yard is fenced which was very convenient since we brought our pup. Last, Jason was very responsive whenever I asked a question before and during our reservation which I appreciated very much. I've had owners who said they were concerned about my experience, but when I asked a question, crickets. Bottom line, would stay again and will definitely check if this is available next trip to Galveston.
