Enjoy our fantastically located, one bedroom, carriage house guest suite adjoining a beautifully restored historic New Orleans shotgun house. Step through the brick patio and lush foliage as you make your way to the suite's private entrance, where the charm of New Orleans hospitality awaits.

Inside, you will find a thoughtfully equipped kitchen with a full-size stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and Keurig. Cabinets and open shelves are well-stocked with abundant tableware, glassware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils--perfect whether you are preparing a delicious meal at home or enjoying takeout from the many nearby restaurants.

Just two stair steps down, the bedroom and bathroom create the perfect retreat. The bedroom features a Sealy® Euro-top mattress dressed in 100% organic cotton sheets, and a down comforter, complemented by Downlite hotel-grade pillows. For added comfort, extra pillows and blankets are stored in the closet within easy reach. A desk, ample closet space with hangers, a dresser, and a 42-inch smart TV complete the room. An ironing board, iron, and steamer are also provided for your convenience.

The bathroom offers a tub and shower combination and a vanity with sink. Abundant 100% plush Egyptian cotton towels (600 GSM), a blow dryer, and luxury toiletries are included, so you can refresh and relax after a day exploring the city.

Free 1000 Mbps+ Wi-Fi runs throughout the suite. Guests also enjoy access to a large downstairs storage space for bikes or luggage. A free washer and dryer are located just down the steps from the guest suite.

There is so much to enjoy in the neighborhood. Start your day on Magazine Street with coffee and pastries at PJ’s Coffee or District Donut and Coffee Bar. After breakfast, stroll Magazine’s shops and browse Joseph Boutique, Azby’s, Pied Nu for clothing, or Jean Therapy for denim. For luxury gifts and home goods, Hazelnut, owned by Bryan Batt of Mad Men fame, is a favorite stop. For lunch, Whole Foods in Arabella Station, a historic former streetcar carbarn, offers prepared foods and outdoor seating.

Men can step back in time at Bad Habit Barbershop, which offers classic cuts, hot shaves, and beard trims in a stylish setting. The property is located within the Hurstville Security District, which provides additional safety through off-duty police patrols throughout the neighborhood.

Transportation:
Local transportation is available via the streetcar line (7 blocks) and the Magazine Street bus line (2 blocks). Both are $1.25 per ride. Uber, Lyft, and local cabs serve the area. Airport transportation is available by Uber, Lyft, or cab ($35 one way; fares may vary with surge pricing) or by airport shuttle ($24 per person).

Parking:
Guests have access to free street parking to the immediate left of the driveway or directly in front of the home. There has never been a shortage of parking on the street. The streets and the front of the home are well lit, so guests should feel safe parking. Parking is completely free and does not require a permit. If you message us the time of your arrival, we will ensure the street parking spot directly in front of the house is available.
