About this property

Separate-Entrance Exclusive Use Guest Suite--steps to Magazine St. & St. Charles

Fantastically located one-bedroom private guest suite in a newly renovated historic New Orleans shotgun house. Step through the lush brick patio and foliage to your own separate entrance, where the charm of New Orleans hospitality awaits.

Inside, you will find a thoughtfully equipped kitchen with a full-size stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and Keurig. The cabinets are stocked with abundant tableware, glassware, and cooking utensils, perfect whether you are preparing a quiet meal at home or enjoying takeout from the many nearby restaurants.

Just two stair steps down, the bedroom and bathroom create the perfect retreat. The bedroom features a Sealy® Euro-top mattress dressed in 100% organic cotton sheets, and a down comforter, complemented by Downlite hotel-grade pillows. For added comfort, extra pillows and blankets are stored in the closet for guests' use. A desk, ample closet space with hangers, a dresser, and a 42-inch smart TV complete the room. An ironing board, iron, and steamer are also provided for your convenience.

The bathroom offers a tub and shower combination and a vanity with sink. Abundant new 100% plush Egyptian cotton towels (600 GSM), a blow dryer, and luxury toiletries are included, so you can refresh and relax after a day exploring the city.

Free 1000 Mbps+ Wi-Fi runs throughout the suite. Guests also enjoy access to a large downstairs storage space for bikes or luggage, and a free washer and dryer are located just down the steps from the guest suite. The entire guest suite is private to you during your stay.

There is so much to enjoy in the neighborhood. The home is just two short blocks, approximately 900 feet, from Magazine Street. Start your day with coffee and pastries at PJ’s Coffee or District Donuts. After breakfast, stroll Magazine’s shops and browse Joseph Boutique, Azby’s, or Pied Nu for clothing, or Jean Therapy for denim. For luxury gifts and home goods, Hazelnut, owned by Bryan Batt of Mad Men fame, is a favorite stop. For lunch, Whole Foods in Arabella Station, a historic former streetcar carbarn, offers prepared foods and outdoor seating.

After lunch, treat yourself to a massage or facial at Earthsavers while you stock up on skincare. Paris Parker Salon & Spa offers hair and beauty services nearby, or you can shop Bluemercury for luxury makeup and cosmetics. Men can step back in time at Bad Habit Barbershop, which offers classic cuts, hot shaves, and beard trims in a stylish setting. If you are in a more literary state of mind, browse Octavia Books, one of New Orleans’ premier independent bookstores.

For dinner, savor Middle Eastern flavors at Saba by James Beard award-winning chef Alon Shaya, enjoy elegant Italian fare at Avo, or choose a romantic French evening at La Crèpe Nanou. Creole Creamery is also close by for dessert, and Paris Parker Salon & Spa offers luxury beauty services.

After dinner, cap the night with cocktails at St. Joe’s Bar or Monkey Hill Bar, both walkable. If you are in the mood for live music, head to Maple Street, Tipitina’s, or Frenchmen Street for dancing. In the morning, recharge with a superfood smoothie from Playa Bowls before setting out again.
