My family loved the rustic country charm of this property. It was a peaceful stay with nice views all around. Wish we had more time there and definitely plan to go back.
Our stay at Faulkner Homestead was amazing! It was very spacious and clean! The pond for fishing was clear and well stocked. We made bonfires for making s’mores and sharing time. The only things we were disappointed in was the bench next to the front door that had 4 wasp nests under the bench and had wasps flying around the front door. Immediately, my son moved the bench and destroyed the nests. This solved the problem of having wasps at the front door. The other disappointment was the gas grill. It was filthy, had no propane and the starter would not work. My son spent hours cleaning the grill and when we went to turn it on, there was no propane. We had to go to Brushy Creek to inquire about it. They gave us a new propane tank, but then we found out the starter didn’t work. I would not have brought this up, but my family took a lot of time out of having fun to work at this and in the end, it didn’t work. Guests shouldn’t have to deal with wasps or filthy, unusable grills. Note to next guest, the Wi-Fi does not work, if all phones are on. Most, if not all phones must be powered off. Overall, we had a great time! Thank you!
This place was a great stay. It really gives you the old farm home feel. We love the privacy the property offers as well. We floated on the black river during our stay and it was only a 20 minute drive to Lesterville. Communication was excellent with the property manager!
This is a great house for a large group! Large table in the kitchen and smaller table in the adjoining room. The host was responsive to all questions and quick to fix any issue we had!
