We call our home “Good Vibes Eco Lodge” because we are striving towards self sustaining, ecologically responsible living with good vibes flowing!
We have 3 Guesthouses. The "Bah" and "Roots" both have Double Beds, Bathrooms with sinks, toilets and showers. The "One Love" Self Catering Guesthouse has both Double and Single Beds and a bathroom as well. It also has a small kitchen with a stovetop cooker and sink. We can accommodate 7 guests.
We are in the process of updating our outdoor kitchen. In it is a wood-fired oven, a propane stovetop cooker, a kitchen sink and food prep area.
Just 70 Meters from the river means a short walk for swimming, birdwatching, monkey sightings, boat trips and more!
We run on solar power and have our own water source. We garden year round and are learning syntropic agroforestry methods which will greatly conserve water during our dry season. We have various fruit trees and also many moringa trees. We have our chickens help us compost and our sheep provide us with good manure. We have 3 Bee hives that soon will hopefully be buzzing with activity. Beekeeping has long been a dream so we are excited to start soon and be reaping the magic, golden honey/medicine.
We have an open air cafe where we play Reggae music and (with advance notice) serve drinks and food, including fresh bread, pizza and other treats from our bakery.
Our own home is a round Eco home built from local materials and is simple and sweet. We welcome you to view our home.
We have many dreams for our yard and work towards them daily! Our place is a true labor of love and inspiration, embued with the energy of all the people who have been a part of this project thus far.
Explore our property, find a hammock and relax while listening to the beautiful birdsong and monkey chattering. We know you will feel the magic of Africa here in our peaceful yard.
