Christmas Ski Trip

The condo was super clean and spacious for 3 adults and two kids under 8. We loved the location to the slopes and also the hot tub in the same building. The owners were always super responsive and helpful! Would love to stay here again!

Amazing Condo with 2 masters

This property was perfect location, beautiful inside, great views, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook and eat with, plenty of linens too. The master is huge with a beautiful bathroom. The second bedroom is smaller but has an attached beautiful bathroom. You can walk out of the building and be right in the plaza. Easy to get to the pool also as we stayed in the summer. Private hot tub on 5th floor was nice. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Condo

We stay at Purgatory a couple time a year, but haven't yet rented a VRBO until this time. It was just what we were looking for. Beautiful and clean. Our 1 year old loved exploring around, and we felt very comfortable there. Cupboards stocked with many spices and cooking items (tho we didn't need any). Extra Warm blankets in closets, plenty of towels, laundry facilities were a big plus woth 2 kids Beautiful decor. We would definitely stay again! Thank you!

Great ski-in/ski-out

Very comfortable and spacious place. Host is very responsive. The condo has easy access to the slopes; take an elevator and walk through the other building to the snow. The unit has been remodeled and looks very nice and is clean, a little bit wear and tear is visible if you look carefully. A big plus was that the mattresses were very comfortable, slightly firm and enough soft to avoid pressure points. The kitchen had all the appliances you want with the pot and pans in good order. The cabinets had spices, oils, paper towels to get started. Washer and dryer worked well. A bench at the entrance helps with getting your boots on. Great stay!

Purgatory

Great apartment with a lot of space. Everything you can think of was in the kitchen and provided for use. It was very nice to hang smart tvs in every bedroom. Our only problem we experienced was the front desk didn’t have us coming in on the correct day so was a 15 minute process. But overall I still give it a high rating and plan to come back!!!

You're at the lift.
The village center has your lift tickets, ski rental, coffee, hot chocolate, breakfast, basic groceries and supplies
Snowmobiling headquarters is literally 100 yards from our front door
You can also rent Jeeps and extreme off-road vehicles at the village center.
Sleigh Rides are less than a mile away
Behind our condo, there are hundreds of miles of off-road jeep trails.
Tons of campsites back there too!
Elk hunting and trout fishing back there too!
Some of the best hikes in the entire San Jan Mountain Range are literally within a 5 mile radius from our condo.
You are surrounded by many tucked-away massive waterfalls in the Spring and Summer.
A 25 minute drive to great nightlife in downtown Durango
A half-mile drive to one of the best bars (with food) in the whole county - The Nugget (fire pits every night year round)

Did I mention, our condo has TWO fireplaces! One in the living room. One in the master bedroom.
