About this property
**NEW** Manoir de Mercier - Magnificent, manor house with private, heated pool
This imposing stone chartreuse is set in the heart of the village of St Cybranet and a stone's throw from the pretty Céou river. The manoir was built and owned firstly by a wealthy merchant, Joseph Mercier; then the governor of the Ivory Coast; and then by the Bardot-Canale (Brigitte Bardot) family. Parts of the building date from the 17th century, and the mix of original features and modern equipment will quite simply take your breath away! It is now a much loved second home, and you can imagine spending your holiday in the spacious, cosy lounge or the formal drawing room; dining in the amazing dining room with its tapestry; relaxing on the terrace or simply lazing around the huge, heated pool. We can guarantee you will not want to leave!

There are many signposted walks in the area and there is also a cycle path running the length of the Céou river, and linking Castelnaud to Daglan - all accessible on foot from the house.
All of the major tourist sites of the Dordogne are within a 30kms radius: the villages of Domme, Beynac, La Roque Gageac and of course Castelnaud; the chateaux of Beynac, Les Milandes and Castelnaud; the world prehistoric centre at Les Eyzies; and not forgetting the fabulous market town of Sarlat.
